At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
Try being a backer on this then - https://gamefound.com/projects/archon-studio/motu - there's a lot of anger at the moment from people as they are releasing this new game with the same minis from the that one. This is despite being told they'd get them before retail this is coming out and annoying people royally!
At least the stretch goals are not yet available! (YET...)
Good old Archon Studios...
(I backed this for the minis, so I'm not fussed, as long as I get them in June, but there's a lot of irritated people now)

From T&G unboxing comments:
"The game is available in selected European countries only:
Germany
United Kingdom
France
Spain
Italy
Sweden
Norway
Finland
Netherlands
Denmark
Czech Republic
Poland
Austria
Switzerland
Liechtenstein
Belgium
Luxemburg
Greece
Hungary
Slovakia
Iceland
Buried in the FoE comments: "Archon are offering a new product to retail that shares just 8 models between it and the crowdfunded campaign. Everything else is different. Dice, gameplay, terrain etc. It should also be noted that the models in Battlefield are on sprue and require assembly. Fields of Eternia come pre-assembled."
Archon should have shown sprues in the PR, then. Some boardgamers can become pretty spastic when they find out they have to (gasp) assemble things...
EDIT: But since the hobby version only has 10 models...

So, I nearly backed archons fields of eternity game but backed out on the last day because of the cost / I wasn’t sure I’d ever actually play the game.
This one has me tempted. It does look a lot like the CMON america only game. Almost as if archon have tried to cash in on the odd splitting of the right, by looking at CMONs offering and saying we can do that too.
it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.
"Battleground" Post Scriptum
Plenty of questions need answers after our recent announcement, we would like to address them.
After the previous Update, you asked us about the differences between Masters of the Universe: Battleground and Masters of the Universe: Fields of Eternia and how these games affect each other. Here we come with answers and photos regarding both projects.
Can backers of Masters of the Universe: Fields of Eternia buy Masters of the Universe: Battleground without the miniatures at a discounted price?
No. Masters of the Universe: Battleground is designed, budgeted, and manufactured as a complete game with miniatures. We can't sell it in parts.
What are the differences between miniatures in Masters of the Universe: Fields of Eternia and Masters of the Universe: Battleground?
There were a lot of questions regarding the scale of the miniatures. First of all - the scale remains the same. The final minis for Fields of Eternia and Battleground are slightly bigger than the 2021 prototypes. The most important difference is that Fields of Eternia characters are cast as single-piece models, and Battleground models require assembly. Here is the photo that will show the difference between the three types of models.
What about the poses of the miniatures? Will the Battleground expansions include other characters that appeared in Fields of Eternia? Will they look the same?
Battleground Starter Set has ten characters in total. He-Man and Orko miniatures are reposed, and the rest of the figures use the same poses as those presented in the Fields of Eternia. Future add-ons and expansions of the Battleground game will include other characters used in the board game (including Core Game, Expansions, and Stretch Goals). However, the designs will be resculpted with different poses and equipment. Miniatures planned for the first add-on's release in June are currently in the approval system.
Resource management - Why did you not produce Fields of Eternia in Poland?
We signed a contract with a third-party manufacturer in China when the campaign was funded. We could not change the agreement throughout the process of developing the board game.
What about Castle Grayskull? Is it going to land in expansions as well?
No. Castle Grayskull Dice Tower is an item exclusive for backers of Fields of Eternia. It is available with each pledge and as a separate add-on.
What about the He-Man with Battle Cat miniature?
This miniature will not be available as a regular product for sale. Only as a tournament prize in brick and mortar stores.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach us in the comments or via email contact@archon-studio.com.
Until the next time!
So anyway, after seeing one gameplay video I knew I had to get it.
For the price of the current Underworlds starter you get a 40k starter format box packed full of plastic and cardboard.
The minis are top notch, they match the best of Underworlds in sculpt and casting quality, you'll be hard pressed to spot a seam. Not push-fit tho, with only an occassional guiding hole-peg here and there these are firmly in wargamer mini territory.
I'm not quite sure what's with Orko, I did not spot a flight peg in the box but he's clearly designed to take the classic GW flight peg and I had one in arms' reach (we're getting ready to BFG again here).
Posters on ignore list: 36
40k Potica Edition - 40k patch with reactions, suppression and all that good stuff. Feedback thread here.
Gangs of Nu Ork - Necromunda / Gorkamorka expansion supporting all faction. Feedback thread here.
wish this was in the USofA
If anyone has played the game . . . is it fun? you can get similar sized models printed on Etsy for less. The maps would be useful but the rules are free to download

I am still busy painting up scatter terrain. Rules are solid though judging from yT batreps.
they have , but they've posted that they're almost sold out of their allocation so if you want them from there, get in fast
I did, but cancelled the order as their shipping to Oz was a bit high. Wound up picking up a copy from Northumbrian Tin Soldier for a few pound less than Northstar's price, and for considerably less postage.
I passed on Fields of Eternia after much soul searching, but just couldn't resist the lure of MotU minis in proper plastic!

The flying peg for Orko was in the bag of dice in my copy.
I love the terrain already. So chunky, yet it seems versatile even with the hex base limitations.
Planning to assemble the characters this week/end.
I don't even care if the rules suck, the models are perfect!
I am disappointed they didn't include Teela & Beast Man, but if they did, why would I need to buy anything else?
