Will cost ~7020$ USD
Assuming a cost of 270$ per box, 18 of them will work out to ~4860$ USD. Additionally assuming an average cost of 120$ per primarch model, you're looking at an additional ~2160$ USD for all 18 of em. It's a little more than that because some of them are less than 120$ USD and some are more.
It's interesting because compared to what car enthusiasts spend on their hobbies, this is a drop in the bucket!

My 911 needs tires and a clutch which will be about the same as that quote for building 18 legions. Maybe next year...

I'm actually considering doing this. I've been planning it out and it looks like I can do it for around 10K, one time investment and done with the collecting. Then it's just about building the models....

Not necessary. The player was supposed to fill in the blanks that´s why they kept two of the legions secret. In essence food for the imagination.
