So I'm ramping up for a big return to the hobby (mostly for Necromunda and RPG purposes) which means I have been collecting again for a while now, and I want that collection to include the Sector Imperialis terrain - especially those wicked awesome statues. Tragically, I've learned that it's almost all unavailable now, including the statues, going for hundreds of dollars on eBay. It doesn't seem like that long ago...but regardless, it seems they released in 2018, and then cruelly went OOP in 2020.

So to avert how devastated I feel by this (feel free to watch to get the tears flowing with me : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09u1v3T6iv4&ab_channel=Warhammer ), I'm starting to plan out grabbing these gradually/over time on eBay. But in order to do that, I need to know what sprues existed vs what are still available on the GW store in Kill Team boxes etc.

Clearly, GW still has the Sector Imperials Ruins set:
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Sector-Imperialis-Ruins-2018
Check.

That and a liiitle more is in Kill Zone Chalnath:
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/killzone-chalnath-2022

Aaand...I think that's all that's still available on the GW website.

SO. Does that JUST leave the sprues for the statues in the Sector Imperialis Bascilicanum and I guess the Sanctum set?

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/07/28/28th-july-tips-tricks-and-secrets-of-the-sector-imperialisgw-homepage-post-3/

Or what else will I need to eBay to get all that's currently unavailable from this range?

I certainly wish I had bought more than one of the Sanctum kit, for those flying buttresses and smaller statues. Hopefully they’ll get a reprint sometime.

PS There are also the large corner wall sections and balustrades, which are currently available in the SOB Battle Sanctum kit. Shame the balustrades are not available separately, as you only get a half-sized sprue of them in that kit.

Omfg you are the man! Yeah looking around online even for 3D printed alternatives to this stuff just does *not* stand up to the real deal. I thought they'd be around forever, and instead my FOMO is increasing tenfold rofl. Time to start saving up and tackling eBay... Thanks a million Baltika!

God if I didn't know any better I'd say that that was my spreadsheet.

I'm sure I made that exact same thing around the time of the original Sector Imperialis/KT release.

Do wish I'd gotten a second Basilicanum box...

I hear ya there. I don't suppose there's any precedent for GW re-releasing older terrain kits even as a temporary thing, is there? I really thought back in the day that these would at least be around for 5+ years. Can't imagine why they died after just two. Zone Mortalis is going on for what, 3-4 years now?

Well some of the Sector Imperialis stuff is back in that new Killzone Chalnath terrain box.

Sadly the statues and the flying buttresses with the smaller statues are not part of it. I really want a second one of these sprues, but not enough to buy the whole box.

And don't forget there were a couple of scatter/ruins sprues in Urban Conquest and some of the Kill Team boxes:

Quite a hard set to get a hold of.

Only thing that might be harder to find are these, given they were only on sale for 4 seconds:

Naw those are $45 https://www.ebay.com/itm/195078081246?hash=item2d6b8f4ade:g:yXwAAOSw~aVijDnJ

as opposed to the Sanctum stuff which is like $500 for a pre-assembled version of the sanctum statues :(

Which is really crap. But good lord beast_gts you're totally right... Maybe I should add it to my list.

I used them on my Knights bases, but I know people who incorporated them into the buildings.

I kind of think they would be good as a standalone for ash wastes in truth.

And right now I think they're (cruelly) the closest thing available to having even a hint of ecclesiarchy/Imperium statues on any battlefield (thankfully it's pretty well available on ebay) with any kind of good quality. I've found some few other substitutes online since making this post that are meant to fill a similar role of holy Imperium statues to litter my terrain with, but do far they all seem to have some really poor quality by comparison. I can't believe GW would stop selling anything like these so quickly.

Just as I also can't believe how even last week I thought these were still available and would be for some time only to realize this week that they're one of the hardest things to come by in the hobby for something so recently released. If only there were other hopes outside of ebay.

But does anyone here know of any good ecclesiarchy/Imperium statue stand-ins one could buy anywhere, in case I haven't spotted them?

I honestly don't understand why they stopped making those kits, it makes NO sense whatsoever. They clearly CAN still make them since they ended up in the chalnath box. I managed to beg borrow and steal some over the years since I missed the original run. By far my favorite pieces of terrain for looks, aesthetics, and everything else.

On a side note the Battle Sanctum is still available AND still has a lot of the bones of the other kits so you can build it in all kinds of way. PLUS, cool sisters statue

Oh absolutely, over the past year or two I've doubled down on keeping an eye on Last Chance to Buy stuff, but I guess I must have started that just after the Sanctum/Bascilicanum sets were gone. With all the other sets like the Battle Sanctum out, I always though the rest wouldn't go OOP, and after manually checking (a day or so before I made this thread), I've been losing my mind just a little bit looking for them I've long since had aspirations to cobble these together into a massive cathedral, I think I even made a thread or two in this forum for that. And now with all the Necromunda stuff I have, I have had every intention to just litter my Zone Mortalis with statues from these two sets, especially from the Sanctum.

I actually called every local store in my area that wasn't Warhammer (since they assured me Warhammer stores only carry items that are up like a year OOP at most), and even a few that weren't, and no luck whatsoever. A number of people suggested they were also remorseful that GW stopped selling them, though.

So now I'm sort of wondering...is a petition potentially a viable way to go here, with so many in the community feeling this way...? >.>

Petition could work, however I strongly suggest that we plan a coordinated assault on Nottingham's warehouse where there will inevitably be mountains of unused Sector Imperialis terrain. Im also sure the mastermind behind this is on a throne made of battle sanctums and he will cackle madly and tell us his very convoluted plan. This will swiftly be followed by us running away because clearly something has gone horribly wrong and we should have better things to do with our time =P.

Actually thats not a terrible idea. Its printing money! Why aren't they making them? Those new little bunkers are cute and all but they aren't as grand as those cool marine statues! Or even those weird buttresses with little statues on top. Really they should be showering us with that terrain. I'll buy it. And I'm a woman with at least 5 full tables of terrain at home, 2 of them Imperialis!

Joking aside these are one of my favorite kits of all time and I would LOVE to be able to get some more to do some truly grand terrain feature instead of the more standard ones I was stuck with when I got them second hand off of people. They're even a blast to paint! Well except the sanctum, that one is extra spikey.

HAH. Yeah. I do feel like I must have lost some perspective or focus on life that I feel so strongly about it since learning about this. Or something like that. I think FOMO has just gained more and more and more power in my life over time...

Anyway maybe a petition IS a good way to go, then? Rofl Maybe idk, I'll start a Twitter post as a sort of quasi petition or something.

Also btw I did happen upon someone who has 3D models of the statues available online that they clearly made themselves and apparently we can pay for it, but, is that illegal or anything for them to have done even for OOP items? Even if it's not illegal for us to buy them? (I'm starting to lose hope I'll ever see the box available on eBay. I sure as heck have never seen assault canon drop pods available on eBay in these years I've been watching for it...)

I've been trying to get my hands on just the book for some time now, but either no one bought the thing or those that did aren't selling their books. There were some really cool rules in there for making terrain pieces objectives, but not cool enough to buy a full box of nonsense for it.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

As it happened I have everything from that box, but never actually bought it when it came out.

I found someone selling the terrain on eBay, so picked up two of the objective sets, and one of the terrain/broken statue sets.

A long while later someone was selling the map/cards/book for very cheap, so I grabbed it. Was really looking forward to getting some campaigns going and then...

... COVID.

So I'm still waiting to get some campaigns going (and actually play 9th, FFS!). I have built the objectives though. They're nifty little things.

So for real though, does anyone know if paying for/downloading files off of cults3d.com that have the likeness of OOP GW products is illegal or perhaps better to ask, is what *those* 3d modelers doing illegal in that regard? Or is it all perfectly legal because its just 3d models and not actually recasting?

I forgot about this box which seemed to disappear very quickly.

Sector Imperialis Imperial Sector.

It had a unique wall sprue with a three wall panel piece, as well as two single wall panels. It also had the ruins sprue and the floor panels sprue which were available in other boxes, for a total of ten sprues altogether.

Another set I wish I had got more than one of at the time. Still working on that Imperial Cathedral, using this box, the SoB Battle Sanctum, the OOP Sanctum, and a Kill Zone Chalnath box.

But I could really do with more of the the small statues and flying buttresses to make it all suitably gothic. Oh well.
