Hello (again) fellow humans!

Well, I did have a profile on here but, to my great shame, I have not frequented the hallowed forums of Dakka in, well, a long time. So I've only gone and forgotten my details (not just password, but email address - a mighty and unforgivable sin).

Anyway, I am returned now (stop groaning at the back). My name's James, and I am a sculptor of toy soldiers. I've been around the sun more than 40 times now, beginning my journey in wargaming when a snot-faced runt in the late 80s. Love a bit of Oldhammer, but also love the new stuff. I've been sculpting miniatures for a few years, but still have a lot to learn on this journey of creative expression and discovery. I am also co-creator and lead designer of www.28-mag.com - a magazine that holds all things grimdark very close to its cold, screaming heart. Totally free to download, no details taken.

Here are some of my recent miniatures - a squad of female not-space marines*. O-ho! A divisive subject, I hear you exclaim! Perhaps, but we can all still be friends, despite any disagreements we may have, I hope.

These ladies are scaled to fit with Primaris/Stormcast Eternals. Just my take on what female space marines could look like.

Have a jolly splendid day!

James

* Ah, ok, It would appear I am not yet permitted to link to the Dakka gallery images, since it is a URL (no URLs for first-time posters, it would seem. No doubt a wise move). I'll show some pictures of my sculpts as soon as I am able.

I love the proportions and weapons on the space ladies. Not overtly feminine at all, just very sleek and trim while still being obviously 40K-inspired.

I don't know about linking, but you should be able to upload images to your gallery profile. Then we can check them out. (edit: you did that. Nice!)

Welcome back!

Thanks, Warptide! Yes, I finally managed to upload and link images from the gallery after spotting a rogue brain cell on the floor. Thought I'd put the little chap to use.

Wonderful models man! Congrats. It's a shame that sexist part of the lore exists and is still championed by a large section of the fanbase and the company. Your sculpts would be excellent official sculpts!

Thanks Togusa! I'm all for female space marines becoming official. Maybe one day. Thanks for your kind words!
