How do!

It’s finally here, and the opening scenes are mental. Like, pants on head mental. Pretty decent “last time on” as well.

First three episodes available now on Prime.

Only caught the first so far, and granted it’s been a bit since the last season, but it really does feel like they’ve worked to up the nudity and gore shock value.

regarding episode 1
Spoiler:

I get the feeling that Homelander likes Butcher after a fashion. Respect between rivals. It feels like he respects Butcher more than anyone else outside of the boss.

has Soldier Boy appeared yet ?

Always thought Mr Ackles was prime Supe material but he kind of got chained to Supernatural, which I sort of liked but it went on far far too long

Yes, but only thru flashbacks.

Spoiler:
If you’re talking about their meeting in his apartment, that was a hallucination/just in Butcher’s head.

The worst thing about the show is the gore. I think there were moments that surprised me in s2, but I just don't care anymore. To me, the strength of the show is the Vought scheming/mystery and the character relationships. The gore is just schlock-shock at this point.

I’ve been liking the Stan Edgar scenes particularly.

Actor that plays Homelander continues to just dominate every scene he’s in.

Yeah, Anthony Starr just oozes menace. The guy is an incredible actor.

So, Stan's plan is to remove heros from the company right?
Like, a gun that kills supes, adopting a super that can possibly kill homelander and other heros and positioning her as head the anti-supe task force.
Some people say he is controlling opposition, but I think he is tired of managing supes. I think he wants public opinion to be ruined for them, for him to purge them, and have bought be a company the fades into the background like Raytheon

I don’t believe there Is a gun that kills Supes. Soldier Boy? Totally not dead. Calling it now. He’s the one who tipped the Russians off to where they were because he’d been secretly working with them and it was an asset extraction.

Absolutely. The fact we don't see a body, or witness this mythical supe-killer in action suggests it doesn't exist. Also, they got a relatively high-profile actor to play him so I can't see this being the last time he appears.

I'm loving season 3 so far. I agree the gore is a little overdone but everything else is right on point. Homelander is terrifying, especially after the event of episode 3. I'm wondering how long it will be before he has a very final confrontation with Edgar.

I mean Soldier Boy is very clearly going to be found in the modern-day considering it was in one of the trailers.

They have definitely taken the sex/gore to another level - the Termite scene is one for the ages...

Totally like the show, as the actors are superb and lots of directions to take and have a new angle come slamming down.

I don’t think it’s that’s there’s More gore, just that in the main gore scenes they stopped and stared at it and had the camera really focus on it. Especially at the end of the first episode. That was just an uncomfortably long time to train the camera on that.

As for the nudity, that was apparently an actual scale prop they built for termite. 11’ tall and 30’ long.

Oh, I am sure that 'prop' will 'pop' up in future somewhere...

Actually, the most horrible moment for me was the scene with Timothy... That really got me for some reason.

Being forced to eat your friend (whom you aparently have jerk off sessions with) is pretty traumatic and disgusting.

So glad to have a show (with a decent budget) actually go full out and not pull punch's.

Interesting seeing Black Noir's face in the flashback scene.

Spoiler:
Guess this means they're not going down the comics route with the character then. Damn shame.

bit of a shame as double Mr Starr hijinx would have been glorious

New episode was….interesting.

It didn’t feel as dense as the others, but without becoming Filler. Also not as much of the show’s hallmark gore and violence.

I’d say it’s taking a breath, rather than ran out of steam.

So I was wrong about Soldier Boy being a Russian asset himself. Seems it was his team that betrayed him? Possibly Vaught?

Still hate A Train, but I do wanna see him rip Blue Bird in half.

Nah it would have been to spin off the supe's business from the serious R&D and sales work, then let that implode under its weight and clean up...

Yep, setting up for quite the showdown.

Spoiler:
I wonder if they will go down the route of SB stripping Homelander of his powers and dicing him up. However, I think if this happens they should milk it a while - let Homelander cope with no powers, or have the season end that way - that's my take.

They gotta have him survive without powers. That would be worse than death to him. Then he probably gets killed by assistant lady or some rando on the street or maybe by his own hand.

He has to become a normal person. He has to be left with nothing and no one.

Basically he has to get a Vic Mackey ending, for anyone who's watched The Shield.

Spoiler:
Kimiko is the last super...except for maybe Starlight, that I would want to see powers stripped from. Aside from the contract killing against criminals, has she even shown a sign of being evil?
