So, I've come to discuss and gather information.

I've been trying to do monthly sales of the various warmaster designs that I am licensed to sell prints of.

Normally, these take the form of buy 4 regiments, get 1 free or something like that.

Currently, the sale is a flat discount on regiments of dire elf spearmen at $5 per regiment vs $7.50 normal price.

this has had absolutely zero sales.

prior month's specials garner 1-2 sales at maximum each.

I'm trying to pinpoint why these sales are not enticing enough to make any sales. If you have been interested, but have not pulled the trigger, why not?

if you haven't, I would appreciate your opinions

Where else are you asking this question.

I say that because Dakka isn't a big Warmaster hotspot, so chances are you might not get many replies here because, simply put, there isn't the warmaster fanbase here to advertise too .
For a market this niche you need to be finding community groups and doing outreach to them; you need to be considering potentially linking up with larger groups in your country and sponsoring them in some form or otherwise getting ways to advertise to their communities.


The second thing I'd wonder is why isn't this discount on the front page of your website. If you are doing a special discount you want it to be on the front of your website to advertise it. Even if its also in the dropdown under army-deals and such; you also want it right up front on the front page.

Third thing is what are you doing to grow the Warmaster fanbase. I say that because smallscale wargaming is super niche. Heck outside of Warmaster and one or two historical games, the fantasy side is basically "one man and his shed" kind of companies making stuff. Often with one guy making models; someone else making rules; then customers buying models here and there as they like. Warmaster really was the only big fantasy name and its been off-market for a while now.
So what marketing are you doing to help grow that market and to attract people to your site to buy stuff. Your site blog has been inactive since February. You've a bit more interaction on your Facebook, but not by a huge amount.

Finally get photos up of prints; not just renders. Renders and concept art do sell things, but actual photos of prints (well taken and presented) sell even more.





Also to answer, I already own a 3D printer; I'm also UK not US based so I'd not be looking to a US store first to make purchases.

I've supported tournaments. I'm trying to spread word that I will happily support any tournament or escalation league that wants support.

This, across the entire site, is a work in progress. I have been hamstrung by being unable to print example stands when I've been printing orders.

Warmaster is very niche, and from my experience most people who are playing it or its derivative games today are people who have access to 3d printers already, so selling printed minis to that community might be a tough sale.

Honestly sounds like you're doing what's expected. Though surely you can just photograph the printing order models or throw a few models on per build plate for promotional work.

In the end this scale of gaming, esp in fantasy, is super niche. There's no big firm pushing fantasy 6-20mm scale games; its all small one person bands and sculptors and such.
So its always going to be a harder sell and a case of putting much more work into finding customers and securing their longterm custom.

I've seen your posts on a variety of sites and I can't say that you are doing anything wrong, in all honesty I think you have been great at interacting with the community.

I think the problem you have is not in enticing a market, but rather creating it. Warhammer Fantasy has dwindled down to small passionate groups, and smaller scale groups will be a fraction of a fraction of that.

I have. I've also tried multiple times to get in contact with the writers of warmaster revolutions in order to get permission to print/bind the books .

I guess I could also just put a leaflet in with information on where to download the rulebooks.
