Nice battle report! As a 6th dark elves player myself I really appreciated it.

Have you tried the BSB with hydra banner on a cold one mount? I only play him with the cavalry since this way the banner adds 10 attacks instead of 5.

I use the regular standard bearer on cold one as BSB since you don't need the full command and a BSB in the same squad anyway. In 6th at least.

My brother suggested the same thing, but I like the redundancy of having the unit standard bearer as well. I've had far too many instances of a BSB getting attacks directed at him and getting slaughtered to risk the +1 CR for a banner. I also like having a back up in case I have to refuse a challenge.
