I dont know how things used to work in previous HH, or old 40k for that matter, since im completely new this might probably be a stupid question but I can live with being stupid!
But after having read and reread the rules in the core book and liber astartes I cant seem to figure out how many attacks a legionary in a regular tactical squad will have?

A legionary with a bolt pistol, do they get the +1 attack for the pistol or not, for a total attacks of 2 in close combat?

No, they have only the bolt pistol as a close combat weapon, therefore they get only their regular number of attacks (1 for a marine or 2 for the sergeant).

Adding any form of bayonet does not change that because the bayonets are two-handed and therefore cannot be combined with the bolt pistol.

Exchanging their bolter for a second close combat weapon will increase their number of attacks by 1.

Ignore me. I completely misread the question.

If the attacker has a pistol and a one handed combat weapon (chainsword, power sword etc) do you use those stats for all the attacks, including the one from the pistol?

Is this explained in the rulebook?

You use which ever profile for the two weapons you want. Which will be the better of the two profiles, IE the Chainsword over the Bolt Pistol.

Thanks, although the bolt pistol doesn't have CC stats and states you use the normal CC stats, which i guess would be the other weapon.

Pistols use the "Basic CCW" stats(S:U AP: -).
