IN TRIBUTE: Your build should involve recognition, homage, or commemoration in some way. This could be a memorial, a victory stele, hall of statuary, throne room, or sacrificial altar; alternatively, make your own tribute to an artist, author, genre, book/film/game, or a personal connection.

THE HEAT IS ON: Your build should involve heat in some way. This could be a hot climate like a steaming jungle or sun-scorched desert, a hot place like a forge or foundry, steam plant, or volcanic caldera, or some hot features like bonfires, torches, bubbling cauldrons, reactor vents, rocket boosters, and so on.

ENLIGHTENMENT: Your build should connect in some way to light. You might create light sources like searchlights or signal fires, produce lighting effects like OSL, experiment with shadows and light, or use coin cells and LEDs to wire up your own lights.

Well, heat seems to be off to a hot start... maybe so much that we can start planning. I'll close the poll on Wednesday and post the new thread, whatever the theme ends up being.

Okay, the heat is officially on! I'll post the new cycle's thread this afternoon, and get some comments in on last cycle while I'm at it.
