Not really a battle report. More like a brief account of my games.

I participated in my local store's ( Dawgs of War in melbourne Florida) 16 man 40k tourney.

I took the following;

Hive Fleet Jormungandr with Lurk Exoskeleton Reinforcement

Spearhead Detachment

Neurothrope (resonance relic)
2x Exocrines
1x Harpy (venoms)
9x Screamer Killers (adrenal, toxin)

Game 1 versus Custodes

I (Tyranids) win 87 - 48

The Carnifexes -1 Damage ability devastated the mass 2 Damage attacks from the Custodes. Custodes were tabled on turn 4.

Jormungandr didn't come into play at all.

Game 2 versus Knights

My opponent (Knights) win 83 - 58

I typically play hive Fleet Behemoth, and this was my mistake - not going Behemoth this tourney for this list. Having strength 7 Carnifexes hurt me when trying to wound toughness 7 and 8 Knights. I (Tyranids) was tabled on turn 4.

Jormungandr didn't come into play at all.

Game 3 versus Sisters of Battle

I (Tyranids) win 75-58

Having no action monkeys hurt my score, since I could not do any mission actions for points. Sisters were tabled on turn 4.

Jormungandr didn't come into play at all.

Conclusion

1) Taking a Neurothrope for Psychic Interrogation was countered by the fact that this list tables opponents, killing their Characters. This hurt my score.
2) Taking Hive Fleet Behemoth would have helped me to win against Knights, then at the top table against Tau, I would have wish I had Jormungandr anyway

This list pretty much wrecks my MEQ meta. I win against 99% of the players in my meta, EXCEPT Knights without Behemoth. Sometimes you get countered hard, yo.

All my opponents were perfect gentlemen. Amazing people in the hobby. I'm glad they live in my area!

There IS terrain, they just decided to push it to the outside and not use it. It hurts my brain and eyes. I couldn't play on that table from planet bowling ball.

I'm both orderly and rational. I value control, information, and order. I love structure and hierarchy, and will actively use whatever power or knowledge I have to maintain it. At best, I am lawful and insightful; at worst, I am bureaucratic and tyrannical.

That's infamous London GW levels of awfulness.

If I showed up a tournament with tables like that I'd demand my entry fee back.
