New to BFG and Miami.  Transplant from NH.  Some from Empire may remember my Fantasy Orcs n Gobbos and then my 40k Orks (not as well organized). I am trying to break into some BFG goodness with the same greenskin attitude, if you think you can do it, you can blow anything up!  So I'm sticking to my Orks.

trouble is, i'm having a hard time finding a shop and players    was hoing someone on here may be able to steer me.  I found one shop but not close to what I'm used to back home with Dakka and Empire.  kinda missing good 'ol NH.

From what i am given to understand there is a great lack of decent stores on the southern east coast of Florida.

thanks for the info, gonna try there too.  i think i've joined every forum  looking for strats, modelling tips, people and places to play.  i'm determined to get some geekiness out of my system.

it looks like Dakka reset the forums for some reason?  bummer i was hoping for some strat and tac articles for my new Ork fleet in progress.

Dakka had a critical penetrating hit on their web host, it appears. They've made the 2+ We'll Be Back roll, but are still fixing a few things...

Orks are possibly the easiest BFG force to create, as you can make rocs, and Hulks, But, Orks seem to be considered a bit weak in actual play.

when are Orks not weak in play? 
in fantasy you have the rolls every turn (i forget the name of the rule) where your guys can squabble with each other, in 40k you have their stat lines for shooting in a VERY shooty-army dominated game.  they're a fluffy army, and i really enjoy playing them.

eh, oh well.  i'm not playing to win, i'm playing to have a good time.

I consider Orks in 40K to be almost unplayable. But, Blood Bowl my orks really do well!   Strange I know. So Orks arn't screwwed accross the board, just across 90% of it.

 

I don't mean that Orks can't win. Infact they are very close to being a winning army, and your might do alot better than mine will.
