Hi, not sure how we suggest a painting challenge so I’m just gonna post it

The challenge would be to paint a unit of models using quick paints; GW Contrast, Army Painter speed paints, GSW dipping inks and intensity inks etc.

You would be able to base using as many colours as you like, but base layers must be a a single flat colour. Layers, shadows and highlights should all come from the application of the speed paints.

I’m hoping the challenge would encourage people to find innovative ways to use there paints and to see how far people will challenge themselves. Will it just be a load of power armour and tyranids or will people choose more challenging models?

What do you think?

In the monthly painting challenges we do sometimes have technical rounds, so you could suggest it for that. We also sometimes get sub-competitions going, where a sub-set of the gang does something similar. You could try to get people on board for that. December’s open round might be good as people wouldn’t need to try to match two goals.

Or just start your own one-off competition.

I’m in for whatever. But then I’m an easy sell, as that’s basically my tyranid pattern.
