We'll find out soon enough eh.

I was gifted the nurgly plague-apothecary dude and some sisters of battle recently and both have, from my perspective, the same issue - they're a few mm too tall. Now with woodworking saws you can pick and choose the specific kerf(that is, the gap the saw creates by removing material), but with hobby saws I can't even find it listed in most cases, except for ones that specifically advertise ultra-thin 10ths of a mm ones, whereas I'm after 1mm in particular(0.75 and 0.5 would also be useful). Does anyone know of something that would fit the bill?

Oh and just as a quick aside, if you have an urge to respond to tell me that small differences in size don't matter nobody will notice on the tabletop etc etc, I cannot express the fathomless depths of my disinterest in hearing it for the umpteenth time, so kindly refrain.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

It's the same as how many diamond files don't list the grit size. The cheap section of the market is reselling products cheap and often don't care and many of the customers either don't care or don't really know any better that its a value that can be varied.

Chances are you might have to look a little more up-market at professional jewellers outlets and such to get that kind of information. Somewhere like Eternal Tools (which is also the best place I've found for high grit diamond files)

Too tall is not a complaint you hear often in the Warhammer world. I can't really help with saws. Whilst I do a lot of kitbashing, and often think about getting saws I've never absolutely needed one to achieve my goals so I've never bothered. What are your plans to do with the models, as I feel like there might be other ways to achieve this.

I’ve used saws in kitbashing before, but never realized “Kerf’ was a thing. You learn something new every day. ( I know saws took out material, just not the term)

Seems like a relevant stat to know about your tools at the scale we work at.

Jeweler’s saws have blades sold in sizes similar to paintbrushes, 1, 0, 00, etc. I’m guessing that there’s a table somewhere that converts the value to actual blade thickness. Get a couple on either side of the value you want and try them on scrap material and I’ll bet you can figure out the width of the actual cut pretty quickly.
