Hey folks,
Fired up my Ender 3 today for the first time in a month or so to do some bases, and I noticed something odd while watching the first layers go down. I then went and checked in Cura (5.1) and verified what I was seeing, which is that the brim lines are printing out of 'order'. In the past, they've always gone straight from outermost to innermost and then continued to print the wall of the actual object's first layer, but on both the print and subsequent slicer tests today, the order now seems to be random (though often starting in the middle of the brim, going out to the edge and finally filling in the inside layers and first wall).
While fortunately today's prints came out fine, a month or so back (after updating to Cura 5) I was having lots of issues with very flimsy brims where the brim lines didn't seem to be joining either to each other or to the print proper at various points, making them at best a pain to remove from the plate and at worst completely useless at preventing any lifting or warping.
Just wondering if anyone else has come across this, and if there's a known fix/workaround? As I say, ultimately the bases I printed today were fine and the brims largely stayed intact, but I'd prefer the consistency of the outside-to-inside print order and I can't seem to find any way to ensure that in Cura 5.1.
Thanks!
