Can I cast prescience on a chaos knight or any other unit in a Disciples of Belakor army?

In the Disciples of Belakor addendum in the 9th edition daemon codex it states that DoB can never be a legion detachment. It goes on to clarify that they can not get for instance black legion stratagems, warlord traits, relics etc.

Prescience (along with many other abilities) specifies "target <LEGION> unit"

Do the Legion disciples and Legiones darmonica replace <LEGION> or can they simply not be targeted by these abilities?

You cannot cast prescience on a DOB knight, nor on any other unit from a DOB army which isn't CSM.

Does this apply in the same way to warpsmith, master of possession and dark apostle? If so, then i guess there are very few usable HQ's for a csm detachment in DoB.

Edit: Oh. Sorry i believe i misunderstood. You're saying i CAN cast it on any CSM unit in a DoB army, but not on anything else. I can definitely see how I cant cast it on deamons, but the knight also has the Legion Disciples keyword. So I don't understand how I CAN cast it on the CSMs, but not the knight.

Look at prescience, what units can it target ? Only units with <LEGION>. A DOB chaos knight doesnt have <LEGION>.

To be clear, CSM units in a Disciples of Belakor army must still have a <Legion> selected. However, while their detachment can be a Chaos Space Marines Detachment it is never considered to be a Legion Detachment. This is per the rules for the Disciples of Belakor Army of Renown.

Legion Disciple is an additional keyword added to the Traitoris Astartes units and it is not a Legion nor does it replace <Legion>.
