For a long time I had been using the Krylon ColorMaster Cover Max Ultra Flat Grey primer as it went on rather thin and smooth (depending on weather). However, this is no longer sold, replaced by a new "ColorMaxx" line. I've tried the Black of that one but it goes on thicker than I'd like.

Any recommendations on a replacement Grey primer? Specifically looking for something that will adhere to metal miniatures well as I'm planning on stripping and re-priming a few. I know Vallejo has good primers for airbrush but I'd rather have rattlecan if possible.

Just buy any bog standard grey rattlecan primer. I think I got my last few off Amazon for less than 5 GBP a pop.

I like green stuff world primers but don’t know how they compare to the ones you’ve used. I haven’t tried their grey spray yet
