Hello Dakkadakka!

After a 11 year hiatus from Warhammer I'M BACK! Over that period I got rid of most of my models and fell out of touch with the table top game (though still stayed on top of lore, video games and novels). However about a year ago a friend of mine started asking me questions about the setting which then opened up the doors to the game and now we have a little gaming community of about 7 players (some just starting out, some with multiple armies) and I've gotten the bug again and it made me dive deep. I'm currently sitting on about 3.5k points of White Scars and about the same in Ynnari, the start of a Rust Raiders Admech army and I just started my test squad of making an entirely plastic army of Vostroyan Firstborn. I also have future plans for undead Sisters of Battle, Space Pirate GSC and a 2nd small SM force of Exorcists. Not to mention my impatiently waiting for Warhammer Old World to release so I can play Kislev, Tomb Kings and Brettonians!

I've decided to share some of my models as I build/convert them and maybe get up the nerve to do some painting (I've always HATED painting!!!). And to kick things off lets start with my WIP Vostroyans!

The Vostroyans have always been my favorite IG regiment and I hate that I never got any of the metal models, but I've decided to take up the challenge of converting an entire Vostroyan army that will do the original models proud. These are WIP and I definitely learned a few things when making these that will be applied to future models from the army. The main parts consist of DKOK legs, Soulblight Gravelords Black Knight chest pieces, Skittari Rangers rifles, Wargames Atlantic Les Grognards heads (before I work up the courage to try GS hats) and some various accessories from the new Cadia Stands box set.

Below are my 1st Vostroyan HQ as well as most of a squad, hope you enjoy!

Ok next up are some of my White Scars conversions, I personally am not a fan of White Scars that are turned into Samurai when the Mongol culture is so rich and interesting so I've tried to stick with as much of a Mongolian influence as I can. I've pulled a number of trophy bits from my Lizardmen and Kroot models.

First up is a WIP of my Chapter Master on foot using the Praetor and a bit of Korsarro, still undecided on his head/helmet. Suggestions?

Next we have my Chapter Master on Bike, when I saw this head in the Stormcast Eternals Vanquishers kit I knew I had to use it for my White Scars. His crest is also from a Stormcast kit and the horse skull on his bike is from a Nighthaunt kit

Now we have my Librarian on Bike, I love the idea of Wrath of Heavens and am slightly salty about Dark Angels and Custodes getting Jetbike(s) and the Horde of Jaghatai doesn't. This model was very intricate to build combining pieces from Custodes, Primaris Librarian, Reivers and Stormcast Eternals as well as my first significant use of green stuff which made his lower abdomen. The bike exhaust, wind effect and staff lightning are all from Deadly Print Studios

Captain with Jetpack, I really like the use of a Thousand Sons Scarab Occult helmet for this model (please excuse the dog hair/state of paint on all of my models. I hate painting and my whole life is covered in dog hair it's just a fact)

Phobos Captain with his avian companion, the people I play with all know that the bird is just for show and never counts as being in the game

Primaris Chaplain, not much different with this model except a few add ons. I am still looking for something White Scarsish to finish up his Crozius

Chief Apothecary made from an Indomitus Lieutenant base (I think)

And last and very simply an Outrider Sergeant

I'm also waiting not so patiently for the hopeful release of a 30k White Scars Praetorian and a 30k White Scars helmet/shoulder guard kit. After I post this I'm going to be working on some Cataphracti Terminators, I'm going to try and make them look like this image by https://www.deviantart.com/igor-zhovtovsky/gallery. I bought a fur plate from Greenstuff World that hopefully will make some of the Greenstuff work easier!

Yes all of the Busbies are taken from the Wargames Atlantic Les Grognards kit, I'm able to buy just the head sprues from a seller on eBay for about 3$ a pop.

My first squad was DKoK legs with SBGL Grave Guard torsos, skitarri arms and les grognard heads. The same formula will be used for heavy weapons teams and field artillery crews (and was combined with the rough riders kit for that unit).

My 2nd squad (and most of the squads I'll do going Forward) are the new cadian models. I've trimmed down some details and used GS to give them coats, cuffs and a random selection of chainmail, scale mail (made using Greenstuff Worlds texture presses) and a curias here and there. Also with skitarri rifles, accessories and grognard heads and I'll be adding some fur as well.

The Forge Guard (Kasrkin) are AOS Chaos Legionaries bodies, Cities of Sigmar Fusiliers heads and Kasrkin lasguns.

I've gotten some of the new Cities of Sigmar Fusiliers models and sprinkled those throughout (the soldier on the Marshalls base, the gunner on the Dorn).

The rest of the characters/units are just kit bashes from various different sources. If you'd like to know what I used for any specific one just lmk!
