Literally the part of painting I hate is cleaning and stripping models

If I can automate as much as possible then I want to.

Anyone tried something like this

Deal: Hanience Ultrasonic Cleaner, 750ml Jewellery Cleaner 50W 43000Hz, Professional Large Capacity Ultrasonic Jewellery Cleaner with Basket and 5 Digital Timer, for Cleaning Jewelry Rings Glasses Denture https://amzn.eu/d/f0FIkW8

I’m for stripping I’m thinking 20 mins in biostrip 20, quick rinse and then into the cleaner

I've seen others use similar devices in model restoration videos, but never used one myself. So the concept is fine, but Im not sure what makes a specific ultrasonic cleaner good or safe for plastic or resin models, lead models would probably be fine in any ultrasonic cleaner though.

I use an ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning both metal and resin models prior to building and priming all the time. For that, I just add a tiny bit of degreaser (Simple Green) into the water in there, and run them a cycle. Easy way to get mold release off.

In the past, I had also done some stripping (I rarely do that anymore), and yeah, soak in a different jar of Super Clean or whatever, then toss in the ultrasonic for a bit. I've done both metal and resin that way, don't think I've done a plastic strip.

Edit to add: It's very possible that any superglue joints will be broken or weakened on assembled models that go in there, even if you're using just water in the cleaner. The vibrations will stress the joint and break the glue, possibly. Depends on the glue, etc., but be aware of it. Which is why I do the clean after removing mold lines but before assembly (which also helps the glue stick better anyway, after removing the mold release agent).
