Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone knows a good solution for kitbashing lightsaber weapons in 28 to 32mm miniatures (i.e., adding lightsabers to miniatures that don't already have them.)

Are there clear resin bits available (other than, say, lego bits?) Or is there a special paint that does a particularly good job of emulating lightsaber shimmering?

WOTC's old Star Wars PVC figures had translucent plastic lightsabers, and they're so wonderfully bendy and averse to staying straight that they're useless for my purposes. I know we can always paint a metal or plastic or metal rod plain red or blue, but I'm hoping that these days there are better solutions.

If you want plastic options, I have a spare Legion lightsaber and Dark Saber I can send your way. But they are just grey plastic, and not translucent.

Ebay for gauss rods from the previous necron warriors (and 3rd party alternatives?)

Hint: search on ebay: necron gauss

Your local hobby shop might have translucent rid in various sizes and thickness.

Gundam model beam saber Blades are too long, but taper off nicely and could easily be cut down.
