So we’re not yet into 2023, but in terms of Heresy reveals and releases we might as well be.

And this is a thread for posting your Wishlist of kits to cross the Rubicon Plasticarus. To set arguable expectations, let’s first consider what we’ve received in Heresy’s first 8 months as a non-specialist game.

1. Big old honking boxed set. Not cheap, but for what you get pretty terrific value. The next entires will of course be parting out that box, but they still count. And I’ll be counting each weapon upgrade as a separate release, as they’re still separate kits.

4. MkVI Tactical Marines

5. Landraider Spartan

6. Contemptor Dreadnought

7. Leviathan Dreadnought with CCW

8. Leviathan Dreadnought with Ranged Weapons

11. Deimos Predator Support Tank

12. Sicaran

13. Scorpius

14. Heavy Bolter/Missile Launcher upgrade

15. Las/Volk/Auto upgrade

16. Plasma/Melta/Heavy Flamer upgrade

18. Repackaging of existing kits in double contents.

19. Weapon sprues for the different Dreadnoughts

20. Revealed but not yet released, the Typhon.

So with my peculiar hair splitting (look it’s my thread, k?) that’s 20 or so releases over….I think 8 months? Might be 7? And it’s only counting plastic kits.

I suspect we’ll see roughly 1 release per month in plastic, averaged out, at a minimum. And there’s a lot of stuff folk will be wanting updated, let alone updated into plastic.

I want to see….

1. Jetbikes

2. The remaining shared Troop options properly represented. Same way as the MkVI Tacticals will do for me. Core box of 20 for super bog standard, then separate upgrade sets for Breachers, Destroyers etc. maybe with a Jump Pack Expansion

3. Ceberus. Go on, round out the triumvate of Spartan Chassis Tanks,

4. Sicaran variants. Separate kits, not separately sold upgrades for the core kit

5. Anything left that uses the Deimos pattern. Again as separate kits, not upgrade sprues. 9.

Breachers. This is my #1 want.

Assault marines.

Apothecaries

Assorted HQs. A lot of the consuls have specialist bits and bobs for their wargear that are not easy to source for kitbashing. I’d love to see a multi-part build-a-character box that would make a bunch of different ones.

Plastic Castellax & Thallax, followed by Termite, Krios & Triaros/Karacnos.

On the last bit, perhaps a Command Squad boxed set, which includes a Consular Sprue? Say 5 Bodies, basic bits for a Command Squad, then more exotic bits on a separate sprue?

There are a lot of ways they could do it. The command squad is a great one. What I don’t want to see is a mono-pose clampack, with just a single sculpt.

I feel it’s a commercially viable way for GW to do it. Two, maybe three sprues, repeat sales to individual gamers.

Or even do the Command Squad like the Mk VI Tactical Squad, and offer Consular Sprues as separate purchases. Yes that would be expensive for us, but as with all things Heresy, I suspect the truth will be “but still cheaper than buying from FW”.

Hell. Just throw in the basic MkVI sprue for the bodies, and let the Upgrades do the heavy lifting?

Melee duders.

Bikes and jetbikes. Would be neat if they did a shared sprue of riders in different armour marks that they could throw in a box of bikes or jetbikes.

More plastic characters, preferably customisable

Then I’d like them to focus on non-Marine factions a bit.

Instead, I suspect we will get a Vindicator.

Is this a wishlist or release speculation thread?

If speculation, we should see:

• more Sicaran variants

If wishlist, I hope we see
• Dreadclaw & Kharybdis Assault Claw

One kind of list usually becomes the other anyway…

I have 3 categories:

1, the rumors, jetbikes and melee.

2, personal wishes for marines, Combiweapon and Terminator melee weapons. Apothecaries and a command squad sprue.

3, personal wishes for general other armies and factions:
Plastic boxes for automata for Mechanicum.
Plastic boxes for Militia / SA forces. Both of these boxes should be atleast 20 strong.

Both, are needed to make these forces actually visible on the table in a common fashion. especially SA and Militia will require significant support in regards to models / box.

Oh and rules PDF's

Assault Marines, bikes and jetbikes are top for me. In terms of Legion-specific units, I'd love to see the Sons of Horus get a Luperci unit so I could run a corrupted SoH detachment along with my Word Bearers.

weapon and equipment upgrades designed for light conversion work - e.g. complete weapon designed to have the grip cut off to swap with a marine hand thats had its weapon cut off

specifically so you do not need a while new arm so the weapons can be used for existing characters

combi-weapons, hand flamers, some of the other stuff designed to help convert existing characters

flesh out the rest of the basic list options with kits, the idea of a "command" box you may want a few of is very good - bits for standard bearers but all the models with at least two basic builds - the Necromunda kits are a good template for this, basic body is essentially one pose but then options on arms, heads, extra equipment bits designed to fit on and make them into the various specialists

I want the following:
Despoilers/Assault squad/Destroyers
Weapon Platform (heavy bolter array, quad launcher)
Command Squad Frame (standard, champion, could include some arms for tech marines and apothecaries)

Assaul marines with jumppack

Mark 2 tactical

Mark 2 assault marines

Breachers

Plastic recon marines

Plastic Storm Eagle

Something new. Maybe a new tank or terminator unit.

Have we considered the option that new infantry is nowhere to be seen because there's another big box coming?

its possible, certainly possible, a second big box launching basically 'assault' marine types, still Mk VI, but now with chainsword arms, pistols, with/without jump packs so once more the curious battle cry "Equipped with Jump packs" can ring out

throw in a jump equipped character, combine with some heavier defensive models and you have a boxed set based on one faction launching an assault upon another

Kill Team: The Horus Heresy could be a thing.

1: Xenos books.

2: Any Heresy Mechanicum units.

3: Non-bolter-Tactical Troops.

4: Legion-specific unit conversion sprues that plug into existing kits.

Can I be a spoilsport knobber?

Much as my pocket and imagination would love to unite in glorious harmony over plastic Mechanicum?

I feel that’s more viable for a 2024 Wishlist?

It deserves a mention, all the same. I'm excited at the possibility of an update for Honour & Blood( the Knight expansion for AT models ), as that would probably push me into the new edition of Kill Team.

Whilst flicking through my Libers, I noticed that the illustrations in each Legion’s section so far include all the tank and Dreadnought released in plastic.

Give they also include the Cerebrus and both Vindicator loads out? I’d say they’re pretty much a given at this time.
