The new one has been available for a month now in the Cadia Stands boxset. Previously, the Chaos Knights codex was released a WEEK after the new boxset.

Totally looking to beating a dead horse here, but has anyone heard anything about the new AM codex being available by itself any time soon?

So that leaves half of Jan, Feb, March, April, May and maybe June for this book. Can't say that'll be worth the $60-70 they'll want for it.

I'm both orderly and rational. I value control, information, and order. I love structure and hierarchy, and will actively use whatever power or knowledge I have to maintain it. At best, I am lawful and insightful; at worst, I am bureaucratic and tyrannical.

Or you could be reasonable and look at recent patterns and see january is pretty much quaranteed. Something known for a while. And release date doesn't matter with price

Sisters had the same release pattern as the new AM and their Codex was released in January. I think we can be fairly confident the AM Codex will also be released in January.

Yeah, with the usual "you never quite know what GW will do" caveat, this seems like a pretty safe bet. And if you can't wait, there are plenty of copies from the box set sloshing about on Ebay.

I wouldn't bet on it - the first Arks of Omen book was meant to be a December release but has now been pushed back to 'soon'.

I believe gibblets may be referring to how long this codex has before the rumoured new edition comes out, something that has burnt me in the past.

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples

Yeah, depending upon how 10th ed turns out you could get between 6 - 36 months of use out of the book.
