So the first campaign from the lazy forger for their game full spectrum dominance just finished. Took some shots of some of the new terrain and some of the minis from the sample pack. The landing pad is from troublemaker games.

More pics of the lazy forger full spectrum dominance stuff, I got the medina building made, also added a bunch of the sci fi bits to them and the other buildings. A genius idea by the lazy forger was to make the medina buildings look timeless but offer bits to make them loom more modernized by adding antennas and ventilation pipes and signs. There's also these great little mini water towers.

Got the warehouses done, managed to salvage the ones that didn't print well and made them looked bombed-out and wrecked. Added some vehicles and other bits too, got some little bits blitz robots in the fuel warehouse and some in the one with shelves. Got some vanguard dudes and holo table in one of the bombed-out warehouses. Really impressed with these, they remind me a lot of fallout and the movie lord of war.

So thought I'd post that the lazy forger has won an award for full spectrum dominance. Very happy for them, also proud to have contributed an image to the rulebook. The page it's on actually appears in the video too. Fantastic models.

I converted a little bridge out of the troublemaker games landing pad sprue. Also mad a bit of progress with some of the models from the starter/sample pack.

Spoiler:

I also managed to finish painting the warehouses. Pretty happy with how they came out. If you look close there's a little bits blitz designs pre release model with spider legs and some little little bits blitz robot/spider dudes inside some of the warehouses.

Spoiler:

Lastly I got the future medina buildings painted, really happy with how these turned out. I used a bit more colour than I'm used to, I really wanted to sell the signs and have them look somewhat believable.

So I've finally started work on both armies, my plan was to print some vehicles and walkers for both and then do a second half for each army focusing on infantry or smaller droids. Very impressed with everything so far, it can be a bit tricky removing support because there are so many small details and cables, but everything came off pretty well. The bases also worked well enough, I can feel the slightest warp to them so I think 1mm mtf bases are still probably a better route overall. Still debating round or rectangular basing for the infantry. One frustration was that some units can only be done in certain denominations, like the socrates walkers had to be done in 3's, so I have some arms left over. Also the wysiwyg isn't totally clear for units, the socrates have 3 loadouts with fixed weapons, but it can be a bit challenging figuring out which weapons are which. The enlisted vehicles can have similar issues in that some turrets are specific, other seems more general. Most vehicles will have a main weapon and machine gun or just a machine gun, but there are options for like aa guns or rocket pods that seemingly don't have rules yet. But can't complain about have extra bits or future proofed bits if the plan is to release more units/unit cards down the line. For example the lazy forger could release rocket tank or aa tank unit rules/cards and you'd have all the files you already need. The thales fighter is really cool, I had to re-glue a few of the fins but all in all it help up well. My only complaint is I think it should have an optional flight stand stl, I don't mind using the gw flight stand, but it was a bit of a pain. I use a bunch of the casualties files for the basing and it helped give some believable details. I plan on urban basing so will likely just dry brush over the bodies and gives maybe a bit of detail but not too much.

I'm hoping to recruit a few friends into the game so the plan is to get 2 working armies up and running and see if there's any interest in trying it out. As a selling point, what I like is it's not a big commitment like other wargames. A lot of friends don't have the free time required to build and paint a whole army for 28mm, but 6mm all of a sudden it's something anyone can paint in a weekend or even evening in some cases. The buy in is very minimal, files are quite affordable and a whole army is probably 30-60$ in resin. The rules and card files are very affordable, and the cards can just be printed pretty much anywhere. The game is designed to be fairly scale and miniature agnostic as well, so its quite possible to use old epic minis assuming both players are on the same page, this could be as stand ins to try the rules, but could also work for finished armies assuming the basing and scale make sense. For scale, if one was so inclined you could print as high as 15mm and the detail will hold up. I like 6 because all the terrain can work for titanicus or epic. Another nice thing about 6mm is the game board is only 2x3 feet, leaving a nice side board for both players to put their unit cards down.

The guys at the lazy forger made this great breakdown of all the units. There are currently 2 armies for full spectrum dominance, with 2 more in the works. The larger vehicles for both factions don't currently have rules but they're slated to be released in the spring/summer. From my understanding, because of their scale, they may be part of scenarios either mirror match where both sides have one large vehicle, or asymmetrical with one side trying to destroy the other side's large vehicle. I believe they'll be indexed to point level as well, so a medium size engagement might involve the smaller of the 2 large vehicles each faction has, where as a large engagement might involve the larger ones. I've got prints of both the land battleship and plate land crawler and they're both amazing, the plate light crawlers are also very cool. I plan on trying the smaller land battleship soon.

But ya, both of these armies were all on one plate, it's insane how many units one could do if so inclined. Very easy to make a 120 point army in a few hours. What's truly commendable too is, even though there are only currently 2 factions, the amount of terrain sets on offer is insane, and with each set having so many buildings, a lot of the collecting side of fsd seems to be terrain. And the lazy forger is releasing new terrain at very productive rate. Not only is there more to come for people who signed up to their campaign, but there's also more kits for those who missed out. They just previewed some really cool walls and towers. The ai mainframe is also looking like an imminent release as they previewed a test plate. There are also jersey barrier and concrete short walls on the way that looks ideal for basing, and not just for fsd, titanicus and epic too.

The file came out today for all the campaign backers. Lookin forward to getting it printed. Apparently it's so big it needs a 60mm base to fit.

The lazy forger has just launcher their second campaign on my mini for full spectrum dominance. They're adding two new factions to the game bringing the total up to 4. The new factions have some massive behemoth models, the union has a big mobile refinery the gives me mortal engine vibes and the conglomerate have a giant flying fortress that reminds me of the kinda ships cobra had from the gi joe cartoons.

They put out a sampler file set in the lead up to the campaign with some of the new miniatures files and one of the new terrain pieces that from the refinery set that it in the campaign.

I've put the infantry and 4x4's on 25mm bases for scale, there's a terrain tier for those wishing to get their hands on some terrain to print for legions. They're perfectly compatible. I'd also say give a good look to the new faction's mini's, not only would some also make great terrain, but tiers all comes with a digital copy of the rulebook and cards so you'd be ready to give fsd a try if you get bored legions. There are also add on options with some great terrain sets from their back catalog, the compound and the favelas. Compound is a must have, you get parts to make whole walled fortresses with armoured gatways and some really nice industrial buildings. Fevalas have some great variety in building sizes and low cover/walls and who doesn't want to make a tiny drug factory or warehouse? The refinery set that came out today as part of the campaign has some different refinery buildings, some big silos and some spherical has containers as well as all sorts of piping that can connect all the different buildings so very modular.

The union faction conjures up engineers, tradesman and other workers uniting to form a fighting outfit out of anything on hand, converting big industrial machines into tanks and gun wagons. Their close combat infantry carry industrial saws and welding torches. The vehicle is called a tugger, and it seems like they can be build as tracked or wheeled in the full set, the top portion is actually a turret and can be magnetized/rotated if not glued down.

The conglomerate are sleek and advanced looking, corporate enforcer/paramilitary types, something like a gundam inspired blackwater. Their infantry remind me of the combine from half-life two in the best possible way. The tanks are called kuris and they're I believe one of the lighter hulls, usually taking on scouting duties.

Beasts of war has a great rundown of some of the new minis

Giant flying fortress with a gun that runs the length of it, very cool

Mobile refinery with a giant conveyor belt mouth and 4 grabby arms

New terrain refineries

They're recently announced that modiphius will be putting out their rulebook in hardback sometime mid 2024, this will also apparently include a couple decks of cards, possibly dual faction decks but its all very preliminary but exciting news.
