About 6 months ago I tossed all my paints in a spring cleaning scenario. Most of them were in dropper bottles and probably fine, but I was sure I'd never paint again, as I hadn't since 2017.

Well, here we are. I watched some videos on YouTube and saw there were tons of new OEMs making paints, plus it appears GW stopped selling those infuriating pots and started using droppers.

Any recommendations as to brands? I always kinda stuck with GW as the names made it easy for me, but since they changed the names that's not really an issue (this was a problem back in the day as well).

Thanks in advance!

Ha, no idea where you got this frim. Unfortunately they stubbornly continue to sell the pots! It's so common for people to transfer them to dropper bottles that you do see their label on dropper bottles pretty often, but they don't sell them that way.

If you're used to GW, Duncan Rhodes has launched his own paint range recently - Two Thin Coats (not sure if your exit from the hobby predated the memes haha). The paints are lined up as a pretty clear analogue to GW's range at a slightly better price and in dropper bottles.

Other than that, Vallejo is pretty much most consistent and best general use paint brand IMO.

Saw a guy with them on YT. They looked... so professional! Well, maybe it's time to give Vallejo a try. I did read Mr. Rhodes' metallics were excellent, and he loomed very large in the hobby when I was last painting.

TY
