I got a couple of questions concerning drones:

1. The T'au Codex says if a drone is docked its weapons are c'onsidered to be equipped to the model it's docked with'.

Example: Gun Drones on a Devilfish.

To use the example, does this means the drone's pulse carbines use the Devilfish's BS or the drones'?


2.I have a Crisis Team with shield drones. If I gave the Crisis suits a Counterfire Defense System, would the drones also benefit from it?

Docked drones use the vehicle's BS.

Not sure what a Counterfire Defense System does, but the Drones are part of the Crisis unit, so would likely benefit. What do the rules for the CDS say?

It's a battlesuit support system.

"The bearer gains the Counterfire Defence System keyword."

It enables the bearer to use the stratagem of the same name for 1/2 CP.

"Use this stratagem in your opponent's Shooting phase, when an attack is allocated to a Counterfire Defence System model from your army. The Damage characteristic of that attack is changed to 1."

Now gun and marker drones won't benefit from it since they only have one wound. Shield drones, however, have 2.

In that case the CDS wouldn't work on the Drone as the strat specifies it works on the model equipped with it, not the unit.
