Hello everyone, as a younger player I decided to be super smart and buy pieces of armies rather than deciding on a singular faction and now face myself with having various units that have no relevance to my current army GK.

I was just wondering if anyone has any general recommendations for where to sell on the bits and pieces I have as they really are just taking up space nowadays. For reference I am in the UK.

Thanks for your insights .

United Kingdom

Facebook Buy & Sell groups, or eBay. There's also places like Troll Trader who'll buy everything (but won't give you much for it).

I prefer selling within local in person groups than selling to "strangers", even if the price isn't better.

Also in the UK some of the FLGSs will do a day where you rent a table for a small fee, bring your stuff and then they invite the unwashed masses to browse your wares. Think a car boot sale exclusively for wargaming and indoors. Ask around in your local scene and see if one is coming up, if not maybe suggest they try one.

Yeah I usually try and sell to mates/locally because I don't want top end prices just want things gone, just been having a lot of trouble selling on marketplace/groups atm.

That boot sale type of idea is interesting though, could see what they say. Thank you!

There is a second hand hobby shop in UK that specialises in Minis and warhammer.

Mirfield hobbies I think.

I don't know which dimensions we are talking, but I had some good experiences with Dakkas Swap shop.

Yeah I've heard of Mirfield minis but they don't always take stock in from people I could try again I suppose.

DSS is great but I haven't had a lot of luck to date yet, may just make a new post.

Miniswap, Bartertown and the Dakka Swap Shop come to mind.

https://old.reddit.com/r/Miniswap/ reddit for buying and selling minis, fairly active

https://www.bartertown.com/trading/ website that has been around forever and a day, fairly slow but people still check it out from time to time

Honestly never used the swap shop myself, but I'm pretty sure it fills a similar role to the above reddit and website.

ebay or etsy, though ebay seems to have the used stock covered best.

If you have unbuilt exclusives, or just plain old OOP kits, look at Mad Doc's "40k Warhammer and general Wargames Trip Loot Sharing" FB group:

Lots of UK wargames shows also have a bring and buy, perfect way to offload some old models

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples
