How do!

Didn’t see another thread, apologies if I’m just being blind.

Craftworld

20 Corsairs, Jain Zar and 5 Banshees

Dark Eldar

20 Wyches, Succubus and 5 Incubi.

Lovely.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Reckon I’m in for the Craftworld thing.

My long gestating (as I suppose is appropriate) 2nd Ed army certainly wouldn’t say no to any of the contents. And the models are very pretty.

The Eldar one seems like a pretty good deal.

Unfortunately the Dark Eldar start to show their age - the Incubi still look excellent, but the Whyches look like a gang of Pebbles Flintstone impersonators took to taking hard drugs...

If they replace them we'll just endless complaints about how people can't kitbash and/or monopose, weird loadout options or price increases. As the ork boyz showed, sometimes things aren't so bad.

The craftworld one is an excellent box, but I already have all of the contents.

Have a boarding patrol in the works with Prince Yriel, 10 Voidscarred, and 20 Voidreavers.

Wonder if those floor tiles will be for sale in plastic.

Also, just reviewing the current Craftworld offerings, this will be the second boxed set available.

It’s perhaps a bit more esoteric than what we’re used to thanks to the Corsairs, but to be fair I’m not seeing that as a bad thing.

I'm hoping so - I'm guessing they're made in China (like a lot of the other terrain) and are stuck in a factory / on a boat somewhere...

Price and monopose? Yeah, probably. But gw is entirely capable of still making kitbashable minis. Just look at the current CSM infantry. If it fits a "Legionarie", it'll fit a Chosen, Havoc, or Raptor. And vice versa. Of, course, handling that kitbashablity via rules seems to be entirely scattershot.......

For the prices GW is bound to offer, you'd probably be better off by getting yourself some photo-etched brass or something as an alternative.

They are a bit yeah, especially when it comes to painting them in different colours. I'm still not sure how the vest top is meant to blend in to the backpack thingy.

The bit that annoyed me most with mine was I had literally just finished building my squad with 2 x hydra gauntlet special weapons when they updated the rules to one of each special weapon only...

New Incubi models are indeed nice, but not nice enough that I feel the need to update mine.

Craftworld Boarding Patrols is weird since it's mostly corsairs. Corsair boarding patrol with some Craftworld allies. If it cost same as the other boarding patrols it will be good deal.

It's more of a poor style choice than an age issue, the Wyches' heads have always been polarising which is why so many people convert them.

Dark Eldar and AdMech got some good models that still look like 40k models instead of monopose AoS models masquerading as 40K

Been waiting for this one and especially for the banshees. Sadly I already have Jain Zarr, and the Corsairs I'm not all that bothered about except for Shane Gooseman rocking the Shuriken Cannon...

The Drukhari box is absolutely imperial, but alas, I'm a Kabalite guy at heart...for which two boxes are still sitting on the pile-o-shame.

But hey, these are going to make some eldar/DE fan happy.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

So, they're definitely releasing a wide variety of these and at a good pace too, very good. What's now expected for BPs down the line?

it seems like an odd choice but why do they keep adding named characters to these patrol boxes?
it seems like it really kills any potential chances of someone buying multiple.

Seems like that might be part of the point.

At this point I can only hope they have a Harlequins boarding patrol. A Solitaire, Shadowseer, DJ and 15 Troupe Players.

If they can just drop this I'll be a happy bunny.
