I got two of the 30 plastic contemptor dreadnought kits. And I am trying to make it more custodian.

Do any advice on how I should help make it more of a custodies?

Wings from the banners perhaps? Nick a sword from the dread night kit if you want the shield and sword version. If you have any of the spare topknots around perhaps attach them somewhere like tassels?

I dunno what you'd do if you wanted to make the spear version. A bit tricky to kitbash.

I tink the spear is not that hard actually. The Furioso dreadnought comes with a nice force halberd.

How ever, I was looking more for the heraldry in general. I agree banner parts can work. I was thinking maiby I could use some form of cord or thick thread to make the vine pattern on the forge world once.

Depends on how much greenstuffing you want to do but the dreads are essentially just big custodes so a cloak would work. Some of the scrolling gold work is fairly important too. a regular custodes sword at his hip as a big misacordia.

The upcoming Legion contemptor upgrades for heresy could do nicely;



The Emperor's Childen one would fight right in with Custodes. That with a spear arm and maybe a plume coming out the top like the white scars body and I think you're set. A little pricey though maybe.

It's actually Dark Angels. They had this nifty black and red scheme going during the Horus Heresy.
