Zenit Miniatures (website / Facebook) are launching their all-female Sakurakami faction, as well as a range of buildings.

32mm metal miniatures. Made in and shipped from Spain. Typically delivered on schedule.

The post-campaign pledge manager gives access to the full Kensei range (at a discount), which includes many miniatures that are otherwise unavailable.

The campaign has passed its initial goal and unlocked one freebie miniature stretch goal so far.

They look cool, but the weapons seem very thin. I guess they're metal miniatures ?

Yes, they're metal miniatures.

I think the cropping in those images is making the weapons look thinner than they are. The pics in this Facebook post give a better indication.

Still, Kensei minis (especially the earlier ones) do tend to have small and bendy parts. They're definitely more fragile and finicky than Games Workshop minis.

Thanks, they look indeed a bit thicker on these facebook pictures.

Depends of the metal used, some are more brittle than others, but yes these seem to ask for special care not to break some parts with unfortunate handling.

That's some very clever blending of traditional Japanese design with 2-D PVC walls and roofs. The flat planes typical of the former make the latter look pretty darn good. It's probably the best use I've seen of pre-printed PVC terrain.

The only things I'm not crazy about are the flat "stones" and loose boards on some of the roofs, which push the trompe l'oiel a bit further than my suspension of disbelief will allow. But not all of the buildings shown have those, and the ones that don't are ace. (If they bother anyone else, you could always model 3-D stones made of putty and balsa strips over the 2-D printed stones and boards.)

Damn, those buildings are nice. I don't need any feudal Japanese stuff, unless I could make it work in some sci-fi scenario that includes Mishima power armor. Maybe for an oppressed, dirt-poor peasant class? Hmm.

This is tempting, maybe a fun painting project to pick up.

Good Looking project.

good luck to all involved!

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
