The bad part is that she's now 10 years old and is heading more towards the boy crazy years and might not be so willing to game much anymore...

Then just lock her in a big tower. Easy!

That's cool man because it was actually my kids finding my old models during COVID that got me back into the hobby.

We played 3rd again for a few months, then after checking out the core rules I made the jump to 9th. I like the core rules overall better than 3rd though I understand there is plenty of room for making an over powered list.

Not worried about that. I learned about overpowered lists when I was a kid watching Tyrion butcher some 100+ orc and goblin models single handedly. Lesson learned, strive for balance and make the games fun.

Now a days, the kids like orky racing mini games, Combat Cards (the 90's version) and some silly wrath and glory games. Usually orky nonsense.

I save the war gaming for the older members of the extended family and co workers.

They also read some of the Warhammer Adventure kids books and really liked them. I originally was skeptical of how you could make warhammer kid friendly but you definitely can.

(BTW Spoiler: Attack of the Necron. Best part was this bully kid getting vaporized by a Necron...shocking but awesome). My son's reaction. "I don't really feel sorry for that kid. He was mean." LOL

That's great! My girls are 12 and 14 now. They enjoy boardgames, but I don't think I could ever get them to sit down for a miniatures game.
