Hi to all!

Have an interesting idea for GodSeekers:

General is Herald on Exalted Chariot,

Command Trait: Speed chaser: pick a unit within 1" after makes a charge,
roll # of dice equal to the charge roll, 4+ are a mortal wound

Spell: Paths of the Dark Prince: (5+ spell) roll 3d6 for charge instead of 2d6

These two should get you about 6 mortal wounds on average
(and you can reroll charges if you get a low roll)

THEN the chariot gets Excess of Blades:
again, after finishing charge, pick a unit within 1",
roll dice equal to the charge roll, rolls OVER the save characteristic take a mortal wound

aim for units with great armor (3+ or 4+), and another 4-6 mortal wounds

looks fun to annoy enemy heavy units!

I'm looking for a way to get the Paths of the Dark Prince spell off without being negated... anyone know of a good generic artifact for this?

also any good suggestions for flanking units to keep General from being caught out in the open?
(2 more Exalted Chariots would be great, but they are a PAIN to put together and paint! lol)

Thanks for any tips!

Chris

Fiends of Slaanesh seem to be the unit you are looking for; fast enough to keep up, reasonably durable (-1 to hit and to wound them) don't need to charge to be effective, and have a 12" aura with debuffs enemy unbinding rolls.

General tactics can also help for getting a spell off; being near Arcane terrain for a +1, casting while outside of 30" then teleporting to be 9" away (since you'll roll 3d6 to charge anyways) cast other, nastier spells first to eat unbind attempts, and so on. Having one or two Contorted Epitome in the army throwing spells around certainly wouldn't hurt.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Good points! I'll have to give them a try!
Thanks!
