The open is going to be my first time playing an objective game instead of deathmatch, and I would like to know some strategies for playing both offensively and defensively, which secondaries I should take, tips and tricks, opponents or lists I should watch out for and how to deal with them, etc. Any advice is appreciated. Would it also help to post the list I plan to use?

Funny enough, I believe that this may in fact be the person who I am going with to the Kansas City Open. I mentioned that my friend is bringing death guard in one of my earlier posts and im pretty positive that Vazinga is my friends username.

Anyway, since you are using the army which you bought off of me, I played it by using Lord of Contagion as a the brute force. Flood the objective with poxwalkers and marines and give support to LoC with Deathshrouds and plague surgeon. ALWAYS ADVANCE ONTO OBJECTIVES TURN 1

REGULAR SHOW, FULL METAL ALCHEMIST AND ONE PIECE TROUNCES ANY LIVE ACTION. PEAK FICTION

We protect other species because humans themselves are lonely creatures. We protect the environment because humans themselves don’t want to go extinct. What drives us is simply self-gratification. But I think that’s fine, and that it’s really all there is to it. There’s no point in despising humans by human standards. That’s right. So in the end, it’s hypocritical for us to love Earth without loving ourselves.

There have been a series of articles on Goonhammer from a guy who took Death Guard to various GTs. There was a lot of advice and tips throughout those articles. Recommend reading through those.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
