How do!

Not affiliated with the channel, but I am a subscriber. As this is a little different I figured it might appeal to other Dakkanauts.

And remember to share any entries here of course!

I'll be doing it - I've had this metal Terminator (not one of the prototypes, but the first run of 'normal' Terminators) I never painted sitting around for ages, not really suitable for chaos since there's no spikes on the armour trim (I painted spikes onto one of the v1 plastic Terminators and it looked okay, but I think a metal one deserves something a bit less improvised), but there's no point painting it as one of my loyalist chapter since I don't use them, and they've got plenty of Terminators already anyway (including one I think was this one's blisterpack-mate). This contest has got me interested in going right back to my Space Hulk roots and painting it as a Blood Angel, just like the ones on the sides of the box - thankfully I saw on the attached instagram that the 'goblin green bases' thing is a guideline not an inviolable rule, those BAs had brown base sides and I want it to be exact.

I'd like to say the intervening 34 years have been well-spent, but at least my painting's improved a bit. Aside from the space marine in Talisman: Timescape, Space Hulk was my first encounter with the world of 40k, and it was a lot of fun to go back and paint a Blood Angel for the first time since I got the 40k 2nd edition box and realised using a canon chapter was kind of restrictive in terms of being able to claim my space marines are girls and painted their helmets black to create a homebrew chapter instead.

He's been waiting a long time for a paint job, and sure it falls quite a way short of Eavy Metal standard, but I'm very proud of the little guy. Had a goof around with the game box and contents as well:

...we've all been there, right? How did chapters even have First Companies, at the rate we got whole squads of veterans slaughtered to a man?
