lieing is bad. mkay?

anyway, if you feel that you have done bad to the community, give alot more back (you already have, by painting such brilliant models) but you could also make tutorials etc.

Not really, since everyone has posted saying it doesn't matter. But yes, people are often nasty and hollow, so we turn to the little plastic figures that don't judge us...Unless we paint !!!

Keep this stuff coming roleplayer, oh and are you GSing the space hulk stuff Blood Ravens cos i'm thinking of doing that over the summer... plus, an assault squad would look awesome with the saguinary guard jump packs...just saying.

Imperial monkey is brilliant. An assault squad with saguinary guard jump packs would perfectly fit in and compliment your Blood Ravens, especially since your ravens vets are winged characters. Maybe vanguard assault squad? just an idea

Firstly, thanks everyone for the kind words!

Secondly, I do intend to do a step by step painting guide for a blood raven tactical marine. its a WIP atm.

Once i get back to australia in august i intend to do somw video painting guides, too!!

Lastly, as for sanguinary guard wings.

I ordered 7 boxes of sanguinary guard, dante and the examplar of the host from wayland games a while back. sadly its been delayed by the volcano in iceland and wont arrive for another 2 weeks.
But that army will feature a squad of vanguard veterans with sanguinary guard jump-packs. tho it will be a blood angel themed army. (so all gold)

But I am torn between whether to paint the vanguard veteran squad them as blood ravens so I can use them in my blood raven force, or paint them exclusivley as blood angels for use in the blood angel force.

im leaning strongly towards the latter. atm tho i am not intending to make them from the metal vanguard models, as ive already based those to match my blood ravens

hahaha anyone that actually thought this was your first time painting, no matter how many tutorials you read, is a silly goose. Your catharsis tickles me. NOW KEEP POSTING THOSE BLOOD RAVENS! I can't wait to see a full on group shot.

Also, I was wondering if you could post some of the army lists you play them as. Obviously since you are running a Vulcan counts as you are using C:SM. I am really curious to see your list.

You say you had played before...

So I'm now assuming you DID paint before...

I'm not gonna lie, in the beginning, alot of my desire to watch this thread was to see what the prodigy would come up with next. Now I just really like to see your painting (I see it as great reference and a skill level I hope to obtain one day). But that still doesn't take away from my desire to see your true starting point.

As punishment, I want to see your REAL first attempts at painting.

A gamer I am. Game I must.

Its not right this thread was closed.

Well, as much as this counts for...

You've inspired me, a really noobish painter and modeler to keep going at his DIY space marine chapter, I'm actually converting up some TH/SS terminators out of Assault on Black Reach ones soon... really hoping to do well with it!

Your models have been a fun thing to look at and check up on, always impressed with them.

And people are ignoring the thing in your 'confession' post that I find requires more attention than the 'lie,' and that is the depression.

Without getting into the sappy details, I know what its like to feel like you don't belong somewhere, or even anywhere at all. Just keep going man, and keep working forward to whatever dreams you may have in your life. Sometimes this is a greater inspiration and motivation than any self-help book, comforting friend, or religious text. The promise of a better future and a happier tomorrow is something always worth fighting for.

Indeed the true starting point would be interesting to see.

Nonetheless the point you have come to now is pretty impressive, would be good to see you paint up some different stuff tho!

"Pretty Impressive"?! Every model is Golden Demon worthy!

Different as in something other than space marines or big machines.. nids.. orks.. IG..

And I dont think I'd go as far to say that all these models are Golden Demon worthy.. they are very well done but always restricted to the same paint style.. I think you should you see a few winning Golden Demon entries first hand before you throw that saying around loosely.

None of my models are golden daemon worthy.

I use the same style and stuff on purpose with them as they are painted for use on the tabletop in games, not as pure display pieces.

Oh, don't get me wrong (sometimes my posts come off as assholish :( ..) your models are fantastically painted. And I'm also not saying that you wouldn't be able to paint awesome display pieces, have you painted any display models?

And which tournament you going to in bris?

No no, I'm agreeing with you, not countering you.

I'm just saying, I'm not pushing the envelop with many of these peices because they are for tabletop play, and any extra stuff would just get lost in the mass on a tabletop.

I'm not really the kind of person who likes painting soley to paint. I dont see the point of painting something that will never see use in an army or a game.

This is why you wont see me just painting random orks, or a tyranids here and there etc.

If its not going to be part of an army I am going to use in games, I just wont have any motivation to paint it. I cant see myself every painting something I wouldnt use in a game.

And I'm not sure of the name, but its around September.

You need to do Something with the center of the Champion's chest. It just looks to flat/bland, too much like all you did was file off the old symbol.

Depends.
I generally tend to do only indp characters as comissions.

Im not the cheapest or fastest around as I only paint to my highest possible standard.
