You've done a wonderful job with those Gheckos Ckig, the light-sourcing/shading is fantastic, really nice graduation of colour.

Have you thought about what you will do with the bases yet?

Thanks for the kind words

I was suppose to base them a while ago but my stuff I ordered dissappeared into the postal ether. And I haven't gotten around to picking up more of it :x

Just something simple though since they are already on their bases. Just some groundwork to make the mini look complete.

And who the hell do you think you are, turning up in this thread and showing a picture of a mini that spectacularly well painted?

Haha, thanks! Just an Infinity fan Thanks for the great feedback guys, it keeps me painting stuff and away from the Xbox...

Anyway, I finally finished that other Naffatun (despite Christmassy distractions) so here they all are together (I did the LFT one more than a year ago). Brilliant, thanks for that Ckig!

As soon as the AvP boardgame is released, and I can put to one side my love for John Hurt and facehuggers, I might well start using one of those!

Woo boy, I should take photos like this before I spray seal, the natural daylight really brought out a few little errors I need to go back and correct some time.

He's managed to keep up with the other guy. I'm really digging how much individuality (and apparent genetic modification!) each of the Moderators is showing. Wow.... Your nomads are FANTASTIC

Those are just damn sexy.

And the nomad symbol on the bases to denote firing arc is pretty slick too.

Excellent scenery too.

Gorgeous work Asher! And as much as it isn't the 'main' attraction, I love the aesthetic of your terrain, beautiful graffiti and weathering.

I have just thrown all of my miniatures, paints, brushes and terrain into a big pile, soaked it in kerosene and then thrown a match on it. Then gone to my room and cried for a day without eating or speaking to anyone.

That is without a doubt one of the most awesome Nomad forces I have ever seen. Welcome to Dakka, and I don't think anyone would mind at all if you made a new thread here with some more shots of your terrain and close-ups of everything!

Asher has that effect. His stuff frequently makes people hide their stuff in shame. His Tyranid army really is something else.

Thanks for such a warm welcome! Glad everyone is liking the Nomads. I'll throw up some pictures of the table when I've got time.

Miss Dee, the bases are Secret Weapon Flight Deck which I painted in basically the same way Angel Giraldez does the studio Nomad bases. It's an airbrushed basecoat of dark brown, then you hit it with orange from one direction. I then did the detail with lazy "looks good at a distance and in photos" NMM and added some arrows etc to make it a bit more interesting.

Can't now open my Christmas presents as my eyes have just exploded

Absolutely wonderful, each time I look at the shots I keep seeing new things. Love the way it's kept to a unifying theme across the board - can completely imagine this is what an oriental town could look like in 300 years time!
