Love the orange Eldar, they look great together - As do the chaos knights too

Amazing, man. Eldar army looks beautiful. Knights are fantastic.

The yellow orange eldar are looking good, certainly less mistaking their colour now...

Impressive as always, the consistency of the colours across the Eldar (not to mention the sheer speed with which they've come together) is incredible, and the grimy Templars look great too! And a full Knight army is just terriffic!

Wraithknight looks great and love to see some Black Templars and not only filthy aliens and heretics

So another month in the books, I went for some larger miniatures this time so only got 16 done this month, that still takes me to 108 miniatures for the year so not bad at all. My April shot:



First up are just 5 bog standard Templar Intercessors with normal multi art Templar bodies mixed with crusader squad weapins and upgrade sprue shoulder pads and gubbins:



Noticeable from my group shot is my first foray into Adeptus Titanicus in a long time...I got my Legio Mordaxis Warmaster Titan with two Plasma Destructors painted up. I forgot how much fun the Adeptus Titanicus stuff is to paint up, and if you know me you know I love Purple:

Finally are a couple of bits of 40k Terrain in the form of a haemotrope reactor and the new landing pad:

Mordaxis maniple looks particularly great all together, love all the cool tones. I also meant to comment earlier on how much better those knee joints on the knight tyrant make it look - I can take or leave the waist but the knees help so much with height + mobility.

The Warmaster is awesome! The pic of the whole group is very impressive.

I wish I could output that level of awesome work so quickly! Really like the matte colour of the terrain, it's a nice colour.

It's also really cool to see your different armies in one picture, the different colour schemes show off your talent!

Sweet work as ever LTMW! The whole army shots are amazing, such high quality and consistency is really impressive.

That's some pretty excellent work. I especially like the (eye of horus?) on the warmaster titan.

I have been lax in updating the blog but progress has not been slow. This month has been all about Marines.

First up is a whole load of Templars with 5 more Intercessors cobbled together from the easy to build marine bodies that were given away at £1.99 a piece and bits from the Crusader squad:

I also blinged up some Flamestorm Aggressors with bits from the Templar upgrade sprue:

Damn, that Chaplain looks cross (and fantastic!) Suoer work on his face and exoression alongside your usual excellent armour and weathering.

Always loved the Sons of Horus scheme, perhaps because that main teal colour isn't something you see much of in standard post-heresy schemes, unlike say the Fists or Angels of various denominations. The orangey brown of the bases and leather sets it off nicely.

Boom.

Heck of a batch of Marines. The Chaplain and Marshal are really good. Excited to see more Sons. For the living! For the dead!

Oooh, more Heresy goodness

The various primaris are a real treat too - Very nice all round!

The praetor looks good, but the banner on Malgohurst looks so much better.

So much work completed and all very high quality! The chaplain in my favorite- the facial details and skin tones are really about as good as it gets, in my opinion. Really a lot fo fun to read through your work.

I never did do a May "work completed shot", all in I did 29 miniatures for a total of 138 for the year. For some reason all were Marines



I started June with a couple of Collectors edition palette cleansers. First up is Mugruk Da Watcha for my Kruleboyz, a great fun sculpt and easy to paint:





I also painted up the Ork and Goblin duo of Bawla and Burk, not entirely happy with the result but it is done:



So onto some additions to my neglected Lions. First up is a devastator squad, since these picture they have had tufts and transfers applied.



Not sure why but i really like the squad segeant:



I also completed a couple of Finecast monstrocities in the form of the Space marine master of the arsenal and Master of The Watch:



Finally for the lions is the Primaris Company Champion that i picked up from the Uk Games Expo in Birmingham at the start of the month. I put him on top of a Tacticool Rock for some added presence:









Some heresy happened too, I had to kitbash the 2 praetors:



I also painted up my first model from the Age Of Darkness boxed set in the form of the Contemptor Dreadnought for my SoH. I am extremely happy with this one:

Nice work on the contemptor. I thought the sculpt was a bit plain, but you've managed to avoid that through good use of transfers and weathering!

Cracking updates! Nice work on the HH stuff, the Martian base is a great offset to the Sons if Horus colour scheme.

Love the color scheme and weathering on all those HH marines and all the chips and stuff on the contemptor is ace!

Great weathering on the Dread, and I love the eye of Horus on the chest. Good job!

Cracking updates lately. I’m loving the gritty look you’ve gone for on the Sons, somehow it seems appropriate for the Heresy.

As always, it’s great to see the Lions getting some attention too, the champion is awesome and the Dev Sgt looks like one of the 2nd Ed metal Sgts, classic! Is it just the light on the photo though, or is the blue recipe you used on him slightly different? It seems lighter to me?

@gobert: same recipe of blue but it must have been the lighting as I agree it looks off here.

Progress! This is all a Sons Of Horus post from now one. First up is my shot for June, 37 miniatures painted taking me to 175 painted for the year:





The keen eyed among you will spot a unit of 10 Mark IV Tactical Marines as well as a 5 man heavy support squad of heavy bolters and a 5 man missile launcher squad:

I also set about making a Veteran squad up using the Forge World SoH heads and some 40k bits:





But the main event is my first miniature painted up for July, and my first ever Forge World Primarch in the form of Horus Lupercal. He was delivered wednesday, washed and made thursday,the base was painted friday and then Horus himself was done over Saturday and early Sunday:
