at least the three on top, I think are really cool. The others are too "action figure-y" for my taste.

Since this is my campaign, and I'm never worried about messing with GW canon, how to justify them?

My thought was that a local governor contacts the Inquisition about genestealer attacks, and then about small bio-titans of a previously undiscovered type. Inquisitor Thon Thraaken discovers a mutated strain of nids. More troubling still, the new strain seems to be fairly random in nature. Nids with four limbs, different projecitile weapons than the Imperium has previously encountered, AND, perhaps more troubling still, at least one report indicates that they have been encountered fighting other genestealers.

Is it possible that these are Chaos tainted?

How would the Imperium handle that situation?

I can imagine factional infighting. Best to just let the enemy of my enemy destroy my enemy? But, then, which side to actively battle, if any? There might be a good argument that a Chaos tainted faction would be self-destructive. Chaos space marine chapters fight each other constantly. Wouldn't Chaos Nids do the same? OTOH, Chaos Nids could be more powerful than Chaos or Nids.

Of course, that is also the kind of argument that can cause the Inquisition to war on itself. This is the last thing anybody needs at the moment.

What IS needed is more information.

Sounds like Inquisitor Thraaken and his team need to do some investigation. An investigation deep into space controlled by the hive...

BTW, the third guy on top obviously isn't a Nid, but I think would make a cool smallish Titan to fight the creepy crawlies.

-The Kharn weapons packs have good bits for customizing or building smaller nids

-This thread is standard action figure scale but it's still packed with conversions to get your imagination going.
