Hello Dakka!

I managed to buy seemingly fake Winsor & Newton brushes off Amazon. I ordered off my phone late at night and just made a quick order for the 00 0 1 2 3 brush set I've purchased. I reported the store /seller.

Can anyone direct me to a more reputable site to buy direct from within the US? I'd rather get a recommendation from someone from Dakka before I place another order for $100+ in brushes. They do not sell these locally at the nearby hobby lobby or FLGS but I've been using them for years.

Thank you for any assistance!

Mods - you can remove this post if it breaks the rules about buying/selling but when creating this thread I didn't think it belonged in swap shop.

Jackson Art Supplies ( https://www.jacksonsart.com/ ) has them, but the website is redirecting me to the Euro branch, so I don't know if they have a site in the US.

I know that Michaels and HobbyLobby do not carry kolinsky brushes.
I am sure they carry Winsor & Newton paint, or at least they should, or at least they did last time I got oil paint few years ago. Winsor & Newton brushes I am not sure about... For the brushes, I only care that the brush is a real kolinsky, and don't pay attention to the brand very much.

If you are ok with OVERpaying for shipping, Id order kolinsky brushes from:
GreenStuffWorld - https://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/search?controller=search&s=brush

For the US, from the top of the dome, I use:
Blick - https://www.dickblick.com/
Utrecht - https://www.utrechtart.com/

Check them out. Hope this helps.

Blick would be my first suggestion for in the US. They've got a physical store in Philadelphia if you want to browse in person.
Also, if you or anyone else reading this don't already know, make sure you're buying the regular W&N brushes, and not the ones that say "miniature". Those are for miniature paintings, not miniature models, so the brushes are smaller.
