Humming Great Unclean One of Nurgle

Google Doc with all the units. Current Roster of Added Units: Greater Plaguebearers: Extra chunky Plaguebearers Plaguefly Tenders: A shooting unit who's main purpose is more to debuff than outright damage Siege Beast: A big beefy smashy boy Howdah Slug: A transport! Garden Tower: An artillery piece, linked to Papa Nurgle's Garden Garden Spitflies: A moderately speedy and relatively fragile unit with a decent gun. Can take some Great Spitflies for extra oomph. Great Spitflies: Same as Garden Spitflies, but beefier and with heavier weapons.

love the idea of a transport slug, and the siege beast seems like a nice mid point between a GUO and a beast of nurgle
greater plaguebearers could use a catchier name, tho. names are one of demons' biggest strengths. big fan of the plaguefly tenders and the garden tower, both of those feel very accurate

Thank you!
I do not know what to call Greater Plaguebearers besides that. Not the best at naming.

I'll be sure to take a look at this in the next day or two!
|
ATTENTION. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

Thank you. You've usually got valuable feedback. Added Spitflies and Great Spitflies, for some shooting and mobility! Also added first gut-feeling points costs to everything!

Revolting Regeneration:
This is fine as-is, but you *might* consider having this only work during your own command phase. I had a game of harlequins vs Nurgle daemons recently where my opponent was regenerating plaguebearers almost as quickly as I killed them because my death jester and void weavers both require that I make a unit I shot at take a battleshock test. It's just a weird interaction.
Siege Beasts:
These look okay to me. You could maybe afford to lower their number of battering fist attacks a little if you wanted to. Without factoring in lethal hits, the fists are doing right around 2.975 unsaved wounds to a T10 tank with a 3+ save for an average of 15 damage. So you're not just threatening to kill a tank in melee, you're averaging overkill.
At the same time, T9 with W10 isn't very difficult to kill. So if you wanted to shave a few points off this unit's cost and make them more points efficient against most targets, you could drop an attack or two, lower the unit's price, and still be very threatening.
Or leave them as is and have a slightly top-heavy unit that can threaten land raiders and knights too. Either approach is fine.
Howdah Slug:
Seems fine. You could probably get away with letting nurglings ride in it for the lulz. I'm wondering who you're picturing riding in it. The firing deck rule (which makes sense for a howdah) makes me think you want stuff shooting out of it, but as-written, fly tenders' It Stings! rule wouldn't kick in if they're embarked on the transport, right? Could move It Stings! to the guns themselves if that's the intended use.
Are the spitflies intended to ride in it? Same thing with their Wretched Bile rule. Consider having bigger infantry models take up more of the transport capacity?
Spitflies:
Statlines feel about right. About as durable as I imagine them. About as killy with their guns.
Two things jump out at me:
1. You don't have much incentive to take a larger unit of these guys.
2. Wretched bile is probably a little more complicated than it needs to be given that night spinners and exalted sorcerers on disc exist.
Maybe solve both of those problems by having the effect of Wretched Bile scale based on unit size? -2" if hit at all. Also can't fall back or advance if the spiteflies outnumber the models in the target unit? (Representing them concentrating fire and gunking up a smaller number of targets more thoroughly.) It might be more wordy than the current version, but you don't have to introduce the complication of rolling extra dice and taking the lower result later on.
No Fly keyword on these guys?

Fly Keyword is supposed to be on the Flies-just a typo it’s not there.
Revolting Regeneration on the Greater Plaguebearers I don’t think would be much of an issue-if you do ANY damage, you can’t regain a model.

That's fair. The harlequin weirdness was an edgecase anyway.

To dive a bit into the fluff of plague bearers counting all the time, some suggestions for naming the greater Plaguebearers:
- Tallybearers
- Plague-/Bile-/Blight-/Poxcounters
- Quotakeepers
Some of your names remind me of the miniature agnostic approach of One Page rules which results in pretty vage, descriptive names rather than what GW is throwing at us. Siege Beast might be the most obvious one, I'd say throw some adjective in front that I've never heard of, being a foreign speaker. Feculent, Bilespewing, Blubbery, slubbery, whatever. Disgusting Rot Maw. Feculent Bilebruiser. Just half serious, as GW's naming convention for nurgle is debatable .

Renamed Greater Plaguebearers to Quotakeepers, and Siege Beast to Bilebeast.

Sorry to be a pest, but I kind of preferred "siege beast" personally. "Bilebeast" could mean absolutely anything. "Siege beast" made it clear as I was reading it that it's meant to be a heavy hitter that goes after large targets.
Also, please consider the name "snot rockets" for any future Nurgly ranged weapons.

yeah, bilebeast is a solid name, but a generic one within nurgle. "Bilebeasts" just as easily could have been the greater plaguebearers
i can't think of a better name, but while trying to do so, i did have an idea for an artillery option for the army based on the whole medieval "firing plague corpses over the wall to spread disease in sieges" thing, which could make for a neat unit, and a bit more firepower within the army too
