Hi there.

I currently play GK but I decided to dust off my Orks I got in 6th and switch to them in our current crusade (9th) due to 3 out of 4 players (me included) basically playing SM (CSM and Dark Angels).

I won't be switching until we make the jump to the next bracket which is 1200 points in about 3 weeks or so.

I need help going over my Ork army and seeing what can be done with it and what you all would recommend if I was to get new models (which of course I want to). I haven't played ork since 6th so I'm not sure where to go with them yet and need some guidance.

Here's my current list, again most of it is from 6 or 7, I'm currently switching the 25 mm to 32 mm.

~100 boys
~30 Nobs (10 which are enormous due to being from an Ultramarine vs Ork box)
20 lootas
20 Burna
10 storm boyz (pretty sure I got enough bits for another 5-10)
~12 Warbikes
6 Deff koptas
3 killa Kan
1 deffdread
3 meganobs ( metal cast)
2 warboss
1 weirdboy (metal cast)
1 painboy/boss (metal cast)
1 Trukk
1 dakkajet

You've got the Boyz to run Green tide, so you can certainly start there. Take 5 units of 20, throw a couple warbosses and your weird/pain boyz in and its a fine start of a list. Storm Boyz are always great to take a couple units of 5 of for scoring. Nobz make great heavy hitters, throw 10 in a trukk with a warboss and they'll do just fine.

Top purchases are probably a couple more trukks and some gretchin. The latter are pretty crucial and thankfully incredibly cheap. Ghaz can be good in the right list and is the main reason to bring meganobz currently, but not required. Beast Snaggas and a Beastboss are also solid options.

The other stuff can work, but I'd start with the options above as a baseline and work from there.

You've got a solid base to build into Green Tide (Oops, all Boyz), Bully Boyz (Oops, all Nobz), Dread Mob (Oops, all Dakka) and War Horde (Oops, all generalists).

What models do you like most out of what you have and what play style do you like? That should dictate what detachment you lean into.

In terms of generalist units, keep hold of your Stormboys and Warbikes as they're small, cheap and fast, which is very important for snagging objectives and VP while the rest of the list looks to do the rest of the legwork.

Your Ork army has a strong base with ~100 Boys, Nobs, and a good mix of heavy hitters. To enhance your force, consider adding Battlewagons or Gazkull Thraka for added power and resilience. Increasing your mobility with more Storm Boyz and integrating Grots for board control can also be advantageous. Upgrading your HQ models and adding specialized units like Kommandoes or Mek Gunz could further diversify your strategy.
