Hey all,
I'm excited to start this showcase on my LI stuff, beyond the core box set. The way GW have packaged the add-on boxes in the way of pricing (sort of) and content make it way too easy to pick one up every week or two. So far I'm finding the kits go together really well and paint up easily.

Firts up are some Baneblades for my Prosperine Spireguard.

Spoiler:

I decided that the one with the guys sticking their heads out of the turret can also act as a command tank.

All the turrets (except for the big one) and sponsons are glued into place as I know they will get lost. I was going to magnetise the main gun to be able to build the Hellhanmmer variant but had glued the gun mount onto the barrel to magnetise the gun mount to the turret. I realised too late that it would be better to put the magnet between the barrel and the mount instead.. Oh well. Will just have to get more Baneblades to build the variant eh!

A whole bunch of fliers coming up next.

Thanks for looking

That's impressive. I wish I could paint tiny minatures with such clean lines.

Unfortunately, I was blessed with the unsteady hands of an overworked Civil War field surgeon.

Don't worry Lathe Biosas. You may have the hands of an overworked Civil War field surgeon but it seems that I have the eyes of an aging rat mole. I failed to see that I have not painted the head lights on the second Baneblade.

Next up. The first section of the Prosperine Terror Hawks.

These models are really big. I have the feeling that they are slightly out of scale. Anyhoo, I gave Red One some fancy wing decals to mark him out as squadron leader.

Next up.
Some Xiphon Interceptors thundering in from low orbit. This is the first section of two that will make six in total. Again great little models to put together and paint up. I'm really happy how these guys turned out. I was a bit worried that the silver scheme wouldn't look Ultramariny enough but when I added the decals, it all came together.

Can we all say "THUNDERHAWK GUNSHIP!"

What a beast. Easily the largest LI model I have painted so far. If any of you are planning on painting one. I would suggest leaving anything that is a heavy bolter and engine as a sub assemble.

I like your Thunderhawk! Some people tend to paint theirs much more two-coloured than you have, but I actually prefer your more monotone approach.

Thanks tauiat. I was worried that it would look a little bland all blue but there is so much detail in this model and I think it helped that I picked out detail here and there.

Here is the second Xiphon Interceptor section. I gave gold leader a nice little stripe 🙂

Cheers, vim

My goodness those are painted well. Crisp details and great shading on the cockpits.

The recessed shading on the Thunderhawk is particularly good.
