This Project has been on the back burner for me for nearly a year, but after a whole heck of a lot of research and a lack of anything else to do I finally started it.

Ever since I first saw the Rogal Dorn tank I had the plan to try building one in such a way that it'd fix all the issues I had with it's design and overall look. That turned into a month and a half of work from when I started building it to when the finale varnish coat was applied to it.

Here are a few shots of the model before any paint was applied, because I think some of the work that went into it gets a bit covered up on the finished mini.
Spoiler:

And here is what it looks like all painted up. I'm very happy with how it turned out, I've always had a love/hate relationship with mud effects but I think these worked out in the end. It was also the first time I didn't use some type of chipping medium to get a paint chipping effect, I hand painted them.

The coating of plastic putty and weld lines really adds a nice texture to the model. Although, without all the rivets and plate lines, the model feels a little plain afterwards. I'd love to see more markings to break up those fields of green. Like the kill marks or the bit of white on the barrel.

I like the swapping of rivets for welding. I do think though that it would look odd unless the rest of the armored vehicles in your force received a similar treatment.

Well i'm happy to report that the rest of the armor that will be in this force is also getting the same treatment.

Did you mix in any other kits or is it all GW and plasticard?

There were a few bits from a Rubicon stowage kit, one or two backpacks from some random wargames Atlantic kits, as well as some 3d printed bits from other stowage kits online.
