Subject: 40k: Reserves vs Strategic Reserves?

I'm having a bit of trouble making a list for a 1,000 point 40k game as I am confused on the difference between Reserves and Strategic Reserves.
Do deploying units via Drop Pod count towards the 50% of the total points allowed in Reserves or the 25% allowed in Strategic Reserves.
My brain hurts. Can someone help me?
This was my 1,000 Point list, but I dont think its legal:

It's a simple.
Reserves are all unit not on battle field including Strategic reserves limited to half of your UNITS and POINTS. So you can't put 6 out of 10 units in reserves even if they are the half of your points. It's written in missions packs like Leviathan.
By default reserves is deepstrike units.
Strategic reserves are units without deep strike you choose not put on table and limited to 25% of your POINTS. Some rules allow you to put additional units into strategic reserves over this 25.
Drop pod have deepstrike. And it's especially said it must start in reserves. It's doesn't count for Strategic reserves.
List isn't valid cause you exceed 500 points limit for your 1000 points list and also you put in reserves 6 units out of 9 you have here

On the assumption that you are playing with one of the mission packs/card decks/or the tourney pack....
You've 2 got errors going on concerning reserve limits for a 1k game.
1) Too many units in reserve.
You've 9 total units & have placed 6 of them in reserve.
The rules for those mission packs state that no more than 1/2 the total units in your force can be placed in Reseve (regular reserve & Strategic combined) before the game begins.
*There are a few units whose printed rules supersede this - but you dont have any of them.
●Solution: you need to reduce the unit count in reserve to 4. (Technically 4.5. But since you cant deploy 1/2 a unit....)
2) Too many points in reserve.
By the rules of those mission packs youre only allowed 50% of your total pts in Reseve (regular & Strategic combined)
Max here would be 500pt. You've got 625 in reserve.
●Solution: reduce pts in reserve by at least 125 pt
Pts cap allocations;
I dont know.
I THINK if you put a unit that lacks its own reseve rules into a transport with reserve rules the unit picks up its rides category of Reseve/Strategic.
So Infernus Marines + Pod would just count against the overall 50% pts/50% units cap.
This seems to make sense with the units they've designed, their desire to sell you these units, etc
BUT; I'm also fairly conservative when I read rules. And I can't find anything that says one way or the other.
So I can definitely see an argument (and might even make it!) that while the Pod counts against the overall, the Infernus count against the much smaller Strategic cap....
I am wrong on one of these interpretations.
But I've also never really run into this problem in all the 10e games I've played. I think the closest I'd come is with my Agents - but I've never put all 3 loaded Blackstars in Aircraft mode, so...
If i ever thought it'd be an issue? I'd go with my 2nd interpretation.

This not described separetely for reserves, Strategic reserves have description. Since Strategic reserves are Reserve except for deployment we clearly can use this rules. Embarked unit go to Reserves in case of drop pod. You can put them in Strategic reserves but with drop pod and it must enter battlefield using Strategic reserves rules.
In case of Droppod it MUST start in reserve and all embarked units also gonna be in Reserves.

What about attached units counting as one unit for all rules purposes ? Doesnt that mean that he has 4 units in reserves, not 6 ?

There is complicated matter, it's TREATED AS a single unit. Not become one. so we still have 3 units. Droppod + Vulkan + Infernus Squad.

6 units. You've left out Pod + Librarian + 2nd Infernus.
Wich pushes it past the 50% pts limit no matter if your counting it as 4 or 6 units.
