Sorry.
No worries, should've seen it coming with that title and the average age of the denizens here hehe.
Hey! I resemble that remark. We’re not old, we are just well seasoned.
Is that what we call grey in the beard and temples these days? I like it.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing what's in store for Boltgun and Survivors, hopefully release dates for both. Fatshark can feth right off though, as I doubt they'll finally make right on their promises of giving us solo play and instead roll out either an event or the Skitarii that was leaked a while ago.

Battle Sector is an older turn-based game by Slitherine, it's alright, but like all Slitherine games very prone to making everything into expensive DLC.

Would be nice if they added Squats or Genestealers to the game. But that's probably big enough to warrant making it on the featured games poster.
Since it's not, I guess we're still in for a new unit DLC that's happened biannually.so far.
It would be nice to see those factions, though Gladius is getting long in the tooth now. Not sure if they'll add those factions or, with Zephon now out, they'll be working on a Gladius 2 in the background.
Skitarii weapons have been data mined a good while ago and the teaser shows blue flashes of weapons fire and a servo skull, so Skitarii or someone AdMech related is most likely the new class.
We could be wrong though, in which case Darktide will see another round of angry review bombs like the community did with the ganger class.

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he wants Kan's New Model Army...

It's part the devs having really disjointed goals with regards to the game, with a lot of issues and unfulfilled promises still lingering, yet they nerf the gak out of weapons and classes because, a PvE game needs even more balance! The ganger class has been hit with some pretty hefty nerfs and debuffs over time. Fatshark is notorious for this, Vermintide 2 also suffering from this. But! Hehe, the ingame overpriced vanity shop does work just fine, no surprises there.
Also, though this is something a lot of games are discovering more and more now, a gaming community can and will review bomb over anything these days. Skitarii has been teased and hinted at for a good long while now, so to instead get the ganger, it did not go over well.
That the ganger and arbites DLC's being rather expensive, nerfed hard not long after release and not getting any custom cosmetics didn't do them any favours either, so bombs away!
Mechanicus 2 is out on the 21st, coinciding with Skulls (although it has been delayed from its original launch date). I love me some turn based tactics and the first one was decent so I'm optimistic there.

Hive Scum is still the best class in the game, more or less tied with Psyker, and Arbites not far behind the two, so the whole narrative of nerfing things all the time, or nefing paid classes specifically is hogwash.
And PvE games do need some internal balancing, otherwise you end up with cases like the Duelling Sword or Plasma, where everything else in the same category is objectively inferior.
Seeing that battlebarge made me sad that we don't have another gothic game on the horizon. I'd honestly welcome a more "Homeworld" style or Sins of a Solar Empire style real time Gothic game.

That was called Skulz.
I remember I sent them my card with the stickers (not that many) and recieved nothing. Well, got the Tech-priests some years later for around 100€.
Not to mention this Skulls has been around for at least 3 years.
At that point, the only bait and switch(which this still wouldn't be anyway) is one you do to yourself.
