Someone has already made a bookmarked version of the Tyranid sheets. The contents are even in alphabetical order, which was a nice touch.

That is a very nice, I'm always impressed how quickly a player is able to create and improve on something in such a small amount of time.

Odd thing with Warriors - they just list "melee bioweapons" which sounds like rending claws, boneswords and scything talons are all just the same thing now?

Also lictor image is the same model :( Unless GW is super teasing us?

Tyranid Warriors with Ranged weapons became better Ultramarines, being able to Fall Back, then Fire and Charge.

OG Tyranid Prime is gone. We just have the winged one.

Hormagaunts are the old models too. Unlikely they'd update Termagants and not them as well. Probably get updated photos in the codex release because we all know how paranoid about releasing info early GW is.

They wouldn't show the new model yet anyway.

The Warrior weapons got consolidated, but I think this version a lot less chaotic compared to prior and it's not all that bad.

Dual BS & BS + Whip was 4 S7 AP2 D2 reroll 1s

Now it's 6 S5 AP2 D1 reroll 1s, which is great for proccing on SH / LH from the army or Prime especially when paired with Adrenal Surge. Go with Lethal Hits vs M/V, Prime for SH, and that strat and you have the bases covered really well.

6 Warriors with 36A proc 12+ hits, 12+ auto-wounds and 12+ extra hits. That's 13 wounds to a (3+) knight, which seems pretty good for what I assume is a total of 300-350 points and a couple CP.

.

?To be fair about 1-3 days after the prime was shown I saw 2 designers make their own, one of which was almost identical. I think I'm up to 3 or 4 now who've made Prime style models very very close to GW's style and this is me not even looking to buy those models in STL form. So yeah I can appreciate GW being cagey - doesn't mean I like it - but I can appreciate it.

How did you get 6 Warriors into combat with a Knight?

Is this a weird table hypothetical question?

Because you only need 2 or 3 in B2B with the Knight and then the rest in B2B with the first 2 or 3.

It's an implication that a pure-combat unit like that (large bodies, low defense) will effectively never make it into combat untouched. You can run numbers like that with a shooting unit, but doing the same with a CC unit doesn'r seen realistic.

Dh so knights just delete entire enemy army just like that. No knight in 9e died to melee either

Warriors historically have been in the 25-30 ppm range, so assume 150-180.

Ruins / scarier things that need to be shot first. A knight is just a baseline example of capability and not necessarily the actual application. Any sufficiently tough vehicle will do.

Sorry, a weird 'table hypothetical.' ie, the 'mathhammer will never work, and is therefor useless, because the table conditions make it impossible to get unit A to unit X'
So, I'm going to take that as a yes.

Is anyone else on the Leviathan or bust, boat. I feel after missing the last several Kill Team boxes, plague marine heroes etc, that this is my last straw with GW. If they fail the Leviathan box release, I’m done with GW.

Why should I have to fight to maybe get a copy when I can order a great game like Shatterpoint months ahead, no shinnigans and get it delivered to my door on release. I am getting sick of GW business tactics and I think brick and mortar stores are too. I have never seen my LGS with so much blank GW shelf space. I think they are ordering less as they have not been able to get the last several releases.

This is it for me, finding it really hard to support a company who does what they want with no regard to their customers or dedidcated LGS that sell their products.

Do you think GW wants bare shelves?

They can't conjure more boxes from thin air. It's quite difficult to run manufacturing in the UK as opposed to hiring whatever multitude of companies there are in China to make stuff. Go enjoy Shatterpoint if missing out on a box causes you so much grief.

GW absolutely definitely does FOMO on purpose. They've let down for a while since the Cursed City fiasco but just look at how silly small allocations are for Horus Heresy product, Kill Team starters, aaaaand... Leviathan. GW's actually backpedaling already confirmed allocations like maybe a boat of boxes sank in the ocean.

You'll be able to tell if they've screwed over FLGS on the next financial report.

Trade accounts are 55% of their revenue and online is 22%. Online has shed sales as the pandemic finished up being a big enough issue. Given that Trade pays half-ish price that segment represents about 70% of all of GW's sales.

The absolutely nutty level of impatience is what has fueled scalpers. I have no doubt a bunch of people have bought out Fire Prisms on the hope that all the complaints bear fruit for people scrambling to buy one or three.

That makes no sense. The model is still being made as part of the current Warrior kit, isn't it?

I won't say it's just because my ability to or not be able to get my hands on the marine half of Leviathan box is going to cause me to stop. Because honestly, I've been drifting away from miniatures war gaming for a couple of months and back toward retro video games.

However, I haven't been wowed by the little tracking of the 10th edition rules. Like the marines in the Leviathan box, the 10th ed rules don't strike me as inherently awful. But there also isn't much in there I think greatly improves the 8th-9th ed core design yet.

I'm a Primaris only marine player, and I don't want to blur the lines between Firstborn and Primaris. Even if I think Terminators (in general) are GW's best model line. They're not Primaris in my mind. The Sternguard are also teetering on that line. I have enough flamestorm Aggressors combined with a general disdain for flamer weapons. I already have 2 redemptors, prefer mixed loadouts (even if they are bad) and don't really like the way the new weapons are attached to the latest one. In fact, I only really like the new Lt. and Apothecary. A far cry from Indomitus where there was little didn't like.

So, I don't have the FOMO or great interest in having any struggle to buy Leviathan like I did with Indomitus. Which I did miss the initial wave and had to wait until November 2019. And unlike Indomitus, I won't start the xeno side as an army. Tyranids and Imperial Guard were the 2 kill teams I loathed to paint. So I'd have go to the trouble of trading/selling the Tyranid half off. Which I feel isn't going to be as easy as the Necrons were 3 years ago.

Just more effort than I want to potentially put in for something I have waning interest in. To be sure, I do want the marines from Leviathan. I just don't want to go through a bunch of hoops to get them. And there's certainly a possibility of me taking an extended break from miniatures war gaming once the summer ends. I'm going to give 10th the ol' college try, but this drifting feels a little different from previous ones.

A good part of me thinks I may just be on the trail to being completely out of miniatures war gaming. Let alone GW games. Not getting the box does put a nice ribbon on that, though.

I have never once had any difficulty getting any of the big GW box sets and have no idea what part of Siberia you people live in that you do.

GW's main website has ALWAYS been the absolute worst place to buy big releases. They run out of stock in minutes, it's full retail, the interface is wonky.

Deliberately pushing traffic to the GW Webstore when they almost always sell out in seconds anyway is like buying TV ads for a concert that sold out months ago. Why waste your time?
