Today when I tried to upload some images, the images and their thumbnails just have “broken link” icons. Something seems wrong.

Same issue for me. Just get a broken image icon.

I am having the same issue.

I tried Firefox and Chrome, and I tried resizing my images because they were, admittedly, stupidly large, but none of that mattered. Cleaning up the mess afterwards has been a little tedious as trying to delete the image before hitting that "process images" button has not worked either. I've had to go in after the fact and delete the images from the gallery.

Thanks for the heads up, I've kicked this onwards and upwards, definitely something wrong here as I cannot even attach an image of the error to my posts without generating an error code.

Same thing is happening for me.

It is also happening when trying to change your Avatar, except when you hit apply updates it then just says no file is chosen as Avatar

Tried on Safari (good Ole iPad) and didn't work either.

This is all off the back of a recent security update for the underlying software. I'm working on it, should be up and running in a couple of days.

I did wonder why all the most recent threads over in the showcase forum looked so wonky. Good to know a fix is coming!

Haha, you shouldn't be able to upload yet - things are still broken in the backend to some degree!

Basically a security update took away the write permissions on one directory used for uploading, but also blocked logging so I couldn't see error reports. Fixed the logging issue, and added write permissions again, but there's a third cascading failure with the package used for uploading in some situations. That's definitely still broken some parts of the site, so it is pleasing to see it didn't break 100% of things and you are able to upload again! I'm still working on it either way

Also - those who have been able to upload -what browser/device are you using? Are you attaching to posts or using the gallery for uploading?

For what it's worth I can see over 100 images awaiting approval so, finger crossed...

Just approved 170 images, 1 (the oldest) was broken.

So I guess we're back in business?

Both my two recent uploads were on apple devices, using safari. The hunters pic was uploaded from my laptop, the proof pic was from my phone, taking the picture straight from the upload page.

Both added to gallery, not attached to posts.

I uploaded from an Apple device using Chrome, added to the gallery.

I was just able to upload images to the gallery using Firefox on Linux then use those images on a post.
