Who has sharpshooters? All your squads? If so I'd drop it. Too many points for the limited use of it. I'd increase the squad sizes of your RR since 5 will definitely NOT work in CoD. Remember, RR don't come with frags. So trying to remove a unit from a building will not work. Capt K

Oh, I forgot one thing. I'd take a demolisher over a basic russ. The siege shells are just too good to pass up. Capt K

This is one of the few game types I would consider autocannons.  With most people getting the 4+ save anyways, you'll have a greater chance to hit by throwing more dice that will still wound most everyone on a 2+

Put special weapons in your command squads. Drop the special weapons, stormbolter, and medic from your command hq. Remember you want to hide that HQ not get it into rapidfire plasma range.

Replace the special weapon squad's meltas with flamers... They always hit in range. Use them as drop troops or sneak them up behind your tanks with the rough riders so they can use the melee to get close to other nearby necron units.

Drop the power weapon from the vet squad and use plasma instead of meltas. Plasma is more effective against necrons b/c living metal rule on the monolith and the possiblity of 2x hits at double tap range. They will not live past one turn of firing.

If you trade out the leman russ and the bassie for two stripped down demolishers it would be more effective at the shorter ranges and since the demolishers would have to move forward to get in range they would make excellent mobile cover for the rough riders.

Take larger squads of rough riders. You want to knock his units well below half on that first turn or they will be slaughtered b/c those necrons will be much harder to kill in the 2nd round of combat.

Woops! Missed the part where you were fighting necrons.  Missile Launchers in this might be better for the x2 strength kills. Captain K's right on the money with the demolisher. City fight buildings will give you the cover you need to get up and get that gun working.  Plasma cannons will also help too.

I also agree with the rough riders.  Can they get frags?  Take them since you don't want to fight last.

Moore, Ok.

"I also agree with the rough riders. Can they get frags? Take them since you don't want to fight last."

unfortunately, the don't get them.

you could upgrade the RR sgt. to a Vet.sgt., and give them to him.

Consider the Command squad weapons dropped, moved to inf command squads. As for the rough riders, I was going to use both squads (theyre of 6 each btw, sgt and 5 riders) against one squad, as i figured it would be harder to manuver one squad of 10 through ruins, would you not agree?

Russ changed to demolisher for sure, but would the bassie not be nice to keep in the back for harrasment purposes? I also dont need line of sight so i can get any of his tricky hiding units.

Vet's power weapon is dropped, but the melta guns are so that necrons dont get any chance of survival if i hit them, whereas with plasma they get a WWB roll because its not double their str.

Sharpshooters also dropped

The bassie isn't that great in CoD. The table is too small and also the template only can target the tops of buildings. If you really want the fire power, Fire Support teams supported by the Power Plant strategem or Plunging Fire is rather helpful. The former will allow more wounds to pile up, whilst the latter lowers the cover saves. Another one to try is a fire support team with Autocannons and ammo dump. Getting to reroll Str 7 hits isn't too shabby. I still say either make the RR unit 10 or drop them all together. By not having access to frags, they are easy points to give away to the opponent for little or no return. If you need an assault element, try allied units or Ogryns. Capt K
