I will work on the power glows, and the drybrush of darkened steel over the adamantium black as well as the metallic ruby red and emerald green.

Hi all! I promised updates on the Megalodron. So here I am with updates, it is not finished yet, but getting closer.

Still in need of touching up, and some more blue glows on surfaces.

What do folks think?

Thanks GrimDork! I do try to help convey the frightening aspects with the colors and size comparisons.

Here I have some with the Sphinx and Gwailos

I need to do some more touches of the adamantium black, and clean up the over brush of the reds and greens, make it look tight.

Boy, that's a huge beastie!

New sphinx is pretty awesome too, always wanted one of the OG ones.

Yeah, he basically could be counted as a walker tank.

Sphinx is so thin, it feels like just a big bug playing as a T.A.G. Gwailos is a shasvaastii in powered armor

Heads up all: Tanks will be back in the thread soon! Yeah, I know a lot of not tanks and infantry have been here a lot.

Got the bug for making some interesting grot tanks based off Meng models ousing Krtomlech goblin commanders and the Meng Chibi tanks

I look forward to seeing some more armour again .

The Meng "world war toon" tanks are great fun . I've built a few and they are an absolute breeze to put together. You will really enjoy building them .

So far, I have assembled/converted 12 King Tigers (ten Leman Russ variants, 1 Hydra and 1 Chimera), 4 Tiger 1s (4 Taurox) and a Churchill (Hellhound)... I have another 9 King Tigers, waiting to be converted into Chimeras .

My one piece of advice for these kits is to wash them thoroughly in a decent detergent because the sprues tend to be very greasy when you take them out of the packaging and they won't hold paint without a good wash .

"Oddball Tanks" is what got me reading your thread- first thread I read from start to finish. Good to see you getting back to your roots (but all the projects are good, so long as you're having fun)!

Somewhere in my pile of plastic and resin, I have a BA-64B in 1/48 scale, which was supposed to be for the Imperial Guard Gun Truck I did awhile back. 1/48 was too small (I used a Tamiya 1/35 scale kit for the basis) but I got some Grots to one day make a Keystone Grots Kar piece. I'll be interested to see how your project advances- maybe inspire me to get back to starting on mine!

Quite the collection you got from them!

I will take that good advice and wash the sherman kit as the tank will be the M4 "Grotman" in my collection of varied machines.

I will be receiving the Porsche tiger and Pz-38t Saturday, so will have to wash them as well.

Thanks for the info!

Yep, I do enjoy my projects, the current one will have a Kromlech grot tank commander in the cupola with a supporting piece of plasticard holding him in place

The Porsche King Tiger is my favourite because it is almost exactly the same size as a Leman Russ (it has a slightly shorter hull but a slightly taller turret to compensate ).

These are all made from the King Tiger (with Porsche turret).

Those are nice, but for the grots, the one I have arriving is the Ferdinand Porsche Tiger 1 prototype that got turned into a TD

I got confused by the Porsche identity.

Your chosen kit is smaller and will be much better suited to a grot tank .

Yep, what I figured, but this is gonna be huge based on what you showed me, so a Grot heavy or find an Ork comnmander for it.

I have a chunky Grot commander that may take up the hatch space
it will here here mid march or so, must be shipping from Meng over seas and all.

Back with the grot-sherman tank.

No. 1

And here using a baby Somua-35 is Grot-tank No. 2

I went a bit build crazy and worked it up today

Surprisingly quick builds once you get going!

A proud commander of a mighty Grot-Tank
[/img]

And next in the works is the Pz-38t
[/img]

[/img]

[/img]

[/img]

using wrongly derived blueprints,,,opr just ideas in their heads, the Grots of thius army have made strides in making vehicles for combat for their size!Once ready, scrap plates will be added to help protect the sides and such

Those are really cool looking. I keep seeing them at Hobby Lobby and on the 40% off model kit weeks they are quite tempting.

I've just got too many small and vintage tank options for my Squats already.

Yeah, some of the guns are oddly bulky, need to scrounge up some gubbinz to make more than standard Kannons and such

Thanks all for the kind words!

Here is that Pz-38t worked up so far as tank #4

So, final tanks for conversion were heavies, so here is the Porsche Tiger
[/img]

[/img]

[/img]

[/img]

that turret back needs some glyph plates methinks.

And the biggest chibi tank, the King
[/img]

[/img]

[/img]

[/img]
[/img]

will be adding extra armor plates here and there to all the tanks, and where needed skirting

Okay I did look at the comparison with a Chimera(Kymera) chassis and the results were interesting to say the least, here is babay shermie with the Argus APC
[/img]
[/img]

here is the S-35 with the Argus
[/img]
[/img]

So far the APC is massing out past the grot tanks

38t with Argus
[/img]
[/img]

Okay, now we are getting bigger grot tanks, more mass more armor, so far kannons may attach gubbinz to make meaner weapons attached.

KV Tonk with Argus
[/img]
[/img]

The '34 tonk with Argus carrier
[/img]
[/img]

And now we come ot the biggest, meanest, heaviest Grot Tanks!

P-Tiger with Argus, Looks very chunky!
[/img]
[/img]

And finally in the checking scale of things pics is the Argus with the K-Tiger the King!
[/img]
[/img]

Extra thicc tonk!

I had to add some additional scrap parts of plates on the armor, next once the glue is set, priming will happen

Grotman M-4, Plates for the most part were kept simplistic and to have a rushed and slapped on feel. The Grotman M4 is a sturdy and speedy vehicle, perfect for sneaking like Grots do.

Some of the others got small amounts of "armor upgrades" as it were, here is Squiggua 35 which is a durable and tough grot tank.
