Very nice Casey!

I have just the one of mine framed at the moment (the Tohaa/TAG one) but will hopefully put up a couple more. A fine addition to the walls of any man-cave!

He's a Spec Ops I converted up. About a year ago, the Infinity Australia Facebook group ran a "Make your own Special Character" competition and one of my friends and I decided to do our own Dire Foes set. So meet Erik Sokholov and Khalis Al-Fuhlan.

Sadly we didn't win :(, Sokholov came 2nd and Al-Fuhlan 3rd. but I beat my friend, and he won the "Lucky Dip" signed art book, so all was right in the world. One day we will write a scenario/mini-campaign for them.

And some close ups of Sokholov himself.

He's a fairly extensive/expensive conversion. I cannibalised no less than 3 models I had lying around. A spare Sin Eater (for the torso), a Moderator sniper (For the Head) and a Hellcat hacker (For the legs and arms). I had to do a fair amount of putty work as well. I( sculpted him a big belt to cover up the fact that the torso and legs didn't quite match up, a hood to visually make him a Vortex Operative and generally fill in a bunch of gaps.

He's one of the more extensive conversions I've done. I'm really happy with him and the background I'e written for him, so naturally he's failed me horribly in the 2 games I've used him in. :p

Have to say that is one of the finest Infinity conversions I have ever seen. Actually, scratch that, probably one of the finest conversions I have seen period!

Looks really seamless, makes we want to do my own dire foes set of Drop Bear vs. Krazy Koala (I'm thinking it will probably be quite a short scenario!)

Hi I don't usually visit this part of the forum very often as I haven't really started painting my Infinity minis yet, well the first is now done. First mini of the year as well.

I hope you like her, I really pulled out all the stops trying to get a nice warm flesh tone on her.

This is my CSU Corporate Security Unit, the first of many Infinity minis I expect.

Just finished my Jotums. I'm a little disappointed in the pictures as it doesn't show off much detail. I may go back eventually and add some free hand decals or something to break up all the white.

Very nice job, love the solid blocks of bold colour it works really well!

Like you say could maybe benefit from some better pics, although I am suddenly interested to read about the best selection sale at the Metro pavilion - just wish I was on the right side of the Atlantic to take advantage of it!

Hi nice Jotum like the clean colour scheme I know how tricky it can be to get good photos some times. I have updated my painting log with pictures of an Akal sikh commando and some w.i.p pictures of the father knight from operation ice storm you can find the picures here

Thank you both! It really doesn't help that I only have a phone camera and no real backdrop.

I like those a lot. Lots of subtle greys that still snap. What paint range do you use?

Very nice work! Love the shading with the brown, have you used an airbrush?

That would have made me break my paint brushes, throw them into a small pile, burn them and start collecting stamps if I hadn't already done so because of someone else's painted minis a page or so ago. Bloody awesome

Pacific: If you are referring to my Antipodes yes those were done with an airbrush for primary coating and layers.

Most highlighting was done with airbrush, just a little bit with a regular brush.

And Arclaw.. that is a superb Haqq model. I would love to get that kind of paint job on my regular infantry.

Cheers guys! Wow, those are some great compliments. Keeps me at it I feel my painting improved a bit last year (and since I started Infinity actually)... The smaller minis and the extra detail forced me to change a few things. Wet Palette, good lighting and (most recently) Windsor & Newton brushes have made painting much less frustrating. If I have a target for this year it is to get quicker.

Those antipodes look great. I think I remember seeing them WIP a few pages back so really nice to see the finished articles.

So I finished my first three infinity figures; a trio of Briscards, very directly ignoring the studio scheme (which I find quite garish myself, the blue and red really isn't to my liking)

Tried to emulate current French desert camo; at this scale it ends up looking a bit more like their standard pattern (main difference is there's more light brown in the desert fatigues, much less dark brown/green, but eh, this looks better in 28mm). I have some Loup-Garou pending, which will be done as close to standard Gendarmes as well, so more like the studio scheme given their very obvious inspiration.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

They are cut down GW tau missile pods. Waste not, want not.

Neither the blitzen nor panzerfaust are represented on the models - and I wanted something there to remind me of what they had.

Works very well Chromedog!

Like the colouring as well, the orange and blue break up the darker grey and green very nicely.

Nice Nomads force and the idea with the Tau missile pods on the Geckos is interesting as well.

I like the orange detailing on the spec op looks good in combination with the blue armour. Really liking those geckos chromedog the missile launchers are a nice touch.

I have been paining some more on my father knight mini and it is nearing completion but I'm starting to think that he stand out a bit to much from the rest of the army. The voices in my head are telling me that he need some camo on his loin cloth and perhaps his shoulder pads so that he fits more with the rest of the army would appreciate some feed back on this.

nice work there Ivan!

I am of the mind that the Knights should/would want to stand out amongst the common rabble. I see knights as glory/honor seekers and they stand out front, to be seen and awed by lesser men. Just my vision though, I am sure if you painted some camo wearing knights they would look super-sweet. Maybe have them hiding out in the back of the battlefield behind a schoolbus full of children too. hahaha, I kid, I kid.

Well they do come from different subfactions within Pan-O, so a different scheme is totally acceptable. As with most disparate minis fighting on the same side, the bases are tying them in nicely.

In addition to everything being gorgeous

I really do think it makes sense though, even the stats of the father knight (kinematica) suggest that he'll be boldly running down the enemy while the fusileers give him covering fire from uhh well cover.

Your Farther Knight looks amazing Ivan, I think he should stand out from the rest.

Here's the last few I've painted for my Nomads.

The Alguaciles was the test model for the rest, I'm not that keen on him.

Today I finished the Mobile Brigada

Which I'm very happy with.
