These domes came with LOL Dolls, but you can also look on Amazon or in a craft store for plastic balls or hemispheres. There's a lot around for Christmas so people can make their own ornaments and such.

Or, you know, don't.

Picked up a set of 5 of these for £6 on eBay. Delivery was pretty quick (local warehouse rather than all the way from China, I think).
They're soft plastic, with good strong detail and an awful lot of missiles! Almost exactly the same size as old-style Rhinos, so not as tall or wide as the current design.
I ditched the turrets, although if you want a turreted light tank it's really only the gun barrel that's poor. Popped a piece of plasticard over the back of the tank to cover the missiles you can see, and to act as a hatch. The armed them with bits from the bits box (basically, a Cadian Heavy Weapons sprue and some old Razorback bits).
Any glue that touched the soft plastic was Loctite All-Plastic superglue - highly recommended. Then a coat of Lahmian Medium to give a good grip for the primer spray (standard Halfords grey car primer).
Here they are! "Razorbacks" first - I think I prefer the autocannon to the heavy bolter, and may replace the bolter before I start painting them. The turret is a circle of MDF and a 25mm base. As generic scifi fighting vehicles, I went for modern-style cannon plus missile rather than the 40k-style twin-linked weapon. The Cadian mortar felt better as a missile tube than the actual missile launcher on the sprue.

On to the "Rhinos" with bits from a Rhino/Razorback kit and a spare resin hatch.
IMG_20210910_124427 by Derek Hendrie, on Flickr
Conclusion: I maybe spent £15 on these five vehicles in total, and they're not bad at all. Definitely good for the money.

That sounds really cool. If possible I'd like to see pics of your Bronekorpus tanks.
Good luck with the one buck tanks too.
Just for you Eilif! You've seen these before on LAF, but the Chimera turrets are new.
Footprint is about the same as a Leman Russ or Chimera, but they're not as tall (although it's easy to lift them up on the tracks a little). The Bronekorpus kit comes with a bewilderment of gun barrels, including a one that looks like a plasma gun. There are also hatches, a smaller gun cupola and a radar dish. There's also a replacement front piece that has a dozer blade on it.
The Bronekorpus tanks are £7 each (including postage from Russia) these days, and the 3D printed resin turrets from eBay were £5 each. So 3x Leman Russ and 3x Chimera for £45. Love 'em!

Here's another pair of Bronkorpus tanks. Did these up with corporate logos on a park.
Great kits but there is some mold slippage that needs a bit of love. Still a great deal.

Thanks!
Nailed it, Red Apple cigarettes from Tarantino flicks. Slurm from Futurama. Have Weyland Yutani and Blue Sun logos in there as well. Did a small force of Corporate sponsored dudes on a lark. Always wanted to go back and add/touch up the logos.
Point is, the Bronkorpus tanks are pretty solid. A bit cartoony in proportions but certainly workable

I just figured out what's wrong with that Dino-Rider set.
The Deinonychus and Parasaurolophus are swapped. They should be in the other colour, with the Para on the Valorians side, and the Deino on the Rulon side.
Why?
Because the Deinonychus has a Brain Box, something only the Rulons used. The Para does not.

The 80s child in me is outraged. Outraged, I say!
This from a license that originally had dino models so accurate they were repackaged to be sold at museum gift shops.
It's almost as bad as when Jurassic Park featured Deinonychuses and called them Velociraptors, callously refusing to show respect for the objectively coolest dinosaur of all time.
To this day I feel it's not a real laser unless it has a bright red muzzle warning bystanders to stay away from the shooty end. The real Red Period was the Mesozoic.
Incidentally, I recall an episode of the Dino Riders cartoon where the bad guys had a legit wargames / strategy table with a scale model of the local terrain.
Hammerhead guy proposed encircling the good guys' base with a cunning entrapment plan. And poured mud onto the table to demonstrate.
Ruler guy said he had a better idea: get every ceratopsian dino they could rustle up, form up into a gigantic charging V formation and stampede the base. He poured mud on the table to demonstrate. A lot of mud.
