Yeah that's going to sell like crazy!
And that's not going to ever sell as much as demand was as the supply won't be there for reasons he mentioned.

My take on it, as it was for Conquest, is that Imperium is not Warhammer 40000.
Imperium is a self contained product that would allow a subscriber to own a gaming system that will never go out of date or be replaced by a new Edition.
Yes it uses core 40K rules and Conquest started bringing in points so the models could be used in 40K but with the scenarios provided in the magazine, a subscriber may never have every model on the table at the same time.
That's why the sides don't have to be 'equal' in a Warhammer 40000 game way.
For experienced players, individual issues are useful for cheap units to add to existing armies but they are not necessarily the main target base.

If anyone has had their Flayed Ones orders from Dark Sphere cancelled, make sure to check that you've been refunded.
I got the 'we're not going to fulfill your order' email, but had to contact them to get a PayPal refund.

I wouldn't be completely shocked if they offered the mega sprue via an additional purchase later in the run, like they did for the Silver Skull paint set. Maybe a bit cheaper than retail too.

I assumed that as they had something like 3K on show for being ordered, that they were likely going through a massive backlog of orders to issue refunds as chances are, being a game store, they likely are not setup for big back-end refund provision. So a few days after the issue went out is when I'm planning on contacting them if they've not processed a refund. I think I used Paypals pay in three option so its not a massive hit all in one.

Has anyone had their refund without having to request it like Lord Damocles?
I'm still waiting.... looks like I'll have to contact them.

I requested mine. However that was because I was raising a support ticket to confirm the position of two orders. Both included copies of the issue along with other items and the initial email only mentioned the magazine issues for one of the orders. They processed my request for a refund the same day as I raised the ticket and posted the other bits out, so I can't imagine you'll have any problems if you raise a ticket on their site.

Wow...shipping for 6 of those issues to the US was 48 quid from FP. Still cheaper than buying the box sets by half.

Sounds about right, shipping from the UK-USA and USA- UK right now is very expensive outside of distribution networks. So private post and one off company post is insanely expensive.

It doesn't sound right at all. A tracked international shipment from the UK to the US is £31.95 for 2kg with Royal Mail.

I tend to agree...none of my shipments from Mierce have ever been more than £16.00...but there you go. Either pay or don't, and 50% off is still a good deal.

Preordered #15 with Forbidden Planet as soon as Fauxhammer announced the contents. I've had nothing yet to say that it's been posted or cancelled. I'm hopeful the order will go through.

In my experience, if they take the money then you're normally sorted. They only really take the money when they've processed your order prior to sending. Automatically Appended Next Post: Literally just been notified that I've been charged as well. Nice one. Hopefully, all goes well, I'm soon to be a proud owner of 20 of the cute little homicidal chaps.

I suspect those made on the first day the preview went live are fine; it was the additional orders made after that date that appear to be in question.

Went to check after reading this and they hadn’t refunded me yet either. I’ve raised a support ticket now. More disappointing service from them.

Sadly not the case for me - got my refund today. I'm not surprised, I suspect they had to see how the dust would settle and how much actual stock they got and process it before they could issue refunds. They likely might not have had a firm understanding how many sets they were getting in the end (and even if they got a number they might have wanted to wait to get stock in hand to confirm - wouldn't be the first time a supply said you'll get X makes a mistake and then says you'll get Y only to then deliver Z amount of product on the day).
You know now Imperium is going to the USA I wonder if their back-end warehouse they used just had 1 value for the global total of issue 15, so the stock earmarked (but not yet marked down) for the USA got added to the inventory for the UK/EU region.

Received my DarkSphere order today, got 3 issues which will take me up to one full unit. Given how hard this one has been to get, I'll call that a win.

Spyders!!
That's one issue I hope stays in stock for a while so I can get some. Both to flesh out the army, but also for some conversions they are a great conversion base model. I've ideas to use them for ghost arks
I love how he keeps saying "don't go buying multiple copies" on almost every single one now after the description of the contents.

It’s probably going to sell out relatively quickly as it’s such good value. You might as well order from forbidden planet now rather than take a chance later, as they won’t charge you until it ships.

4 issues of the Immortals is a good idea: it builds Immortals or Deathmarks. The Spiders are good as well, probably 2-3 copies.

Yeah I recalled FB's policy to charge on the ship day not the pre-order day and - did cave and got some issues. 6 on order - ideally that gives me 3 to field on their own and 3 to convert with ghost arks

The Omnissiah's Talon has the Manipulus. He's the new candy.
Leaving all the spare Dominus models to be palmed off on Hachette.

Maybe he missed his order for Flayed Ones!!
That said its bizzar sometimes the blame people will throw around. It might well be some blame him for reporting on the issue's contents and thus the stock running out or such - so they blame him.
It could also be that he's been trying to get a relationship with Hatchettworks and GW for reporting on these and they might have been annoyed that things went wrong and somehow blamed him (again the news went out early and then the orders went wrong) even though the blame for this lies somewhere in the distribution chain between stores and the manufacturer.
